The rain hitting the roof and Nausicaa on the DVD player...and the sound of two small children building with lego whilst watching the DVD (I'm bring them up to multi-task even though they are boys ;-)

My advice would be to find something easy to start with that fits into your routine. For me I like to walk and its easy to fit in and do anywhere. Since then I have graduated to the 30 day shred - the fact that it is only about 20 minutes makes it doable for me. Good luck!

My 2 year old likes hummus - especially since he thinks it is called 'Thomas' as in Thomas the Tank Engine!! Don't be shy about re-branding in your own kitchen

At the moment I am doing the 30 day shred so have Jillian's 80s beat going on - my husband really hates it so when I did it today he went in the kitchen and turned Eyehategod WAY up :-D When I have to clean the house I like the Ramones, System of a Down, Sabbath, Einsturzende Neubauten - something LOUD to drown out the…

...the jeans I bought just before I got pregnant with my 2nd child....haven't fitted them since and he is 2 years old now :-(

I live in England but right on the border with Scotland so my nearest chippie is in Scotland and they do deep fried steak pies which I had a bit of craving for when I was pregnant with my second child....my husband sat me down and explained what trans fats were...:-(

I was going to join in but my cat just legged it before I could take a pic of him - not very co-operative of him but typical :-) He does have his own amazing weightloss story - his aha! moment was when he got too fat for the catflap and it came off the door still around his middle and he ran round the house very pissed off…

On my phone I tap on either the number of servings or the serving size arrow and it gives me options. Hope that helps :-)

I admire you and how brave you are - don't cry: look at all the before and after success stories there are on mfp - one day you will be one of them xx

I know its an emotional time of the month for me, but I am not a cryer and I have totally filled up - so fabulous to hear all of your successes...congratulations on finding yourself. You are truly an inspiration.

 I'm in! Why - I want to lose weight and keep it off and not pile it all back on at Christmas. It would be so nice to look good for christmas parties and of course, now I really really really want to be an elf :drinker:

Made me so happy to hear your news - you are definitely in my prayers!! YAY!! Love you lots :drinker:

I think walking is good exercise and doesn't strain your joints etc as much as other ways of exercising but I also think you need to mix it up a bit. I like to walk but I didn't lose anything off my middle until I starting doing exercise which included abs and strength training too. Having said that, I didn't really watch…

I didn't lose the weight from my second baby like I did the first (he's 2 now!!) and I can't fit into most of my trousers and I can't afford to buy a new wardrobe of clothes...also seeing photos friends had taken of me made me realise how obvious it is that my clothes don't fit. As my face is still quite thin I think I had…

Just done Day 3 - felt stiff starting but OK now! See how I am later - it's when I go up and down stairs I really notice how sore bits of me are :-)

I love soft blue cheeses but tend to eat feta more as it's easier to cook with and I can stop eating feta but can't stop eating st agur once I've started

That's because (as my parents tell me all the time as they are from there and live there) that Yorkshire is God's own county and has it's own special fabulous weather, unlike the wilds of Northumberland where I have decided to exile myself :drinker:

There's a nice aquarium there....erm...that's it, can't think of anything else good about Hull xx
-
LOL! It is - it finally hit 19 degrees here yesterday in the far north of England and I think that's a heatwave

OK - next shop I do when I get back from holiday I will get some sprouts and give it a whirl :-)

Try teaching - that way everyone appreciates you and your hard work!!

I might give them a try - but only if you're SURE!

I'm a mum and doing the 30 day shred - but I'm not in shape yet :-)
-
Thanks for your support - I'll keep checking in next week and that should help keep me going too - feeling much more positive about it now :-)

Just done day 2. I did it with cans of tomatoes yesterday but today I did it with 1kg hand weights and it was harder. I recommend doing a little bit of yoga stretches after as that has really eased the soreness / stiffness that I had last night. I can still really feel my shoulders, thighs etc especially when I'm going…
