  • I actually just posted this topic last week. I have a Polar FT4 HRM and I purchased it long before I got the Nike+ shoes...Polar does offer the chest strap with the Nike+, but you have to order it separately and it is like $65. I ended up going with the Nike+ sports band. It calculates your distance, cals, pace etc. So…
  • Polar FT4 I love it. Purchased on Amazon for around $60. It tracks calories and heart rate and has the chest strap too.
  • Month 2 for me was just like how I felt beginning month 1 LOL It's tough. The warm-up it's self was crazy. Good luck!
  • I'm sure you'll do great. I'm in my second round of Insanity. I love the workouts so much. I'm in week 2 of my second round so feel free to add me as a friend and we can help push each other. Good luck!

  • Switch the letters "m" and "n" on their keyboards. This one works great!
  • I very much believe you are not eating enough. Eat the calories that MFP is telling you to eat. I hardly ever eat back all of my exercise calories, but I usually eat around 200 of them back because of my Recovery drink. Additionally, watch your sodium level. If you are over on that a lot, you more than likely are retaining…
  • When you purchase the program through Beachbody, the schedule comes with the program so there's no guessing.
  • Like Pro said, you get out what you put in. My husband and I have had great results with Insanity and Power 90 (the original version). I have friends who have had amazing results with P90X. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, the program will guide you there. As for what else you need to purchase, the HRM…
  • I have a Polar FT4 and I LOVE it. It's coded so it only picks up your heart rate. One of the better/smarter purchases I've made LOL
  • Thanks everyone! Kinda bummed about learning about the Polar Wearlink. I already have an FT4 but the wearlink chest strap that came with it isn't for the Nike+. Looks like I'll be getting the kit/watch/sensor thingy LOL
  • How ironic. I just posted a blog about this on my page. I truly agree with the belief that maintaining healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle goes beyond having the "will power" for some people. I believe when I fall off the wagon, it's more like a relapse. At least it is for me. I have to seriously concentrate and…
  • Almonds are a great dense food that will help fill you up and keep you full. They are high in fiber. Also, protein is a great filler upper. How many cals do you burn during yoga? Perhaps you need to eat some of your exercise calories?
  • Unfortunately, because you dieted incorrectly the first time, your body is storing all of the "extra" calories in fear that it may go back into starvation. Give it some time to adjust. Your body needs at least 1200 calories daily and it may store what you give it for a few weeks. Your body will eventually learn that you…
  • As far as day 5...is this just day 5 of your 30 day shred or day 5 of your diet too? Wondering if the headache is from food you've been cutting out of your diet for the past few days? C affine etc. When I first began to cut out coffee, holy headache for 4 days straight. Wondering if the diet is partially to blame.
  • I too have this same issue. All 3 of my kiddos laid on my bladder. Jumping jacks during the warm-up in Insanity is a constant battle. I feel your pain. Kegles do work to an extent on strengthening the muscles. However, I have a slight suspicion that your bladder may have fallen or your uterus may be putting pressure on the…
  • I feel I am walking proof of "starvation mode". I hadn't been loosing any weight. However, once I started following what MFP told me to eat calorie wise, I dropped 4 pounds in 3 days, and am seeing a huge result in the way I feel energy wise. Granted, eating your exercise calories isn't mandatory, if you want to properly…
  • I ♥ my Polar FT4!!!
  • Depending on your fitness level right now...if you haven't worked out at all in a very long time and your stamina isn't up to par, I would start out with the classic Power90. From there, depending on your goal, you could move into P90X or Insanity. Insanity is a lot of cardio and interval training where P90X is…
  • Hello and welcome to MFP. This is a fantastic site with great members. Everyone is very supportive. Keep up the good work and be honest with your food journal. I have been using Insanity for my workouts. I will begin p90x in March :o) Good luck!
  • I'm in my second round and I still LOVE it!

  • I'm am the same way. Usually about 3 days prior and the first day I could eat anything you put in front of me and I crave a lot of junk. I've noticed though, since I started using Shakeology, my cravings have decreased. I like the chocolate one and that seems to help cure the urge to gorge myself on whatever I can get my…

  • 5'2" here. But I weigh a bit more than you. Trying to get back to 125. I see you are from my area. I'll send you a friend request :o)
  • How many calories are you consuming a day? Also, keep in mind, muscle retains water. You may be hanging onto water weight. I don't know how much water you are drinking already...Also, for myself anyway, I've found the scale seems to be more cooperative with me if I eat 5 small meals a day. Plus it keeps your metabolism…
  • Welcome! This is a great site with great members. Keep logging in and follow the plan and you're sure to do great!! Good luck!
  • I would definitely see a doctor about the dizziness. Is it possible the dizziness is caused from being on the Elliptical? I know some people get motion sickness from those and treadmills. As for being sick, that could be a side effect from the dizziness. However, you shouldn't eat any sooner than an hour prior to a…
  • My husband and I started with Insanity. The first time we started it, it was rough. We "fell off the wagon" about 3 weeks into it. We are now in month 2 of Insanity and loving it. I have seen decent changes in weight and certain places on my body are shrinking. We will be done with Insanity in the middle of January and are…

  • I ordered mine off Amazon. I don't remember exactly what I paid for it, but I know I got a hell of a deal. It's a Polar FT4. Came with the "watch" and chest strap. I love it. Pretty easy to use too. Hope this helps.
  • It also has the opposite effect on me. I go like 3 times a day now LOL
