Why do you dislike me so much? Really, what is your issue with me? I didn't track over the summer when I tried crossfit and just started tracking again. I joined this site in 2012.

Sorry to have misunderstood you. It is definitely hard for some people to do and was hard at first for me before I lost the wight. If you're depressed you should definitely eat more and be at a happy intake. lol - I really like cheerios! Try a bowl and a half of multigrain with the 30calorie almond milk. I'm so full…

I eat a bowl and a half of multigrain cheerios and almond milk which is delicious and filling. I'm not sorry that it fills me up. I'm not sorry I don't exercise and eat those calories either. ;P This is how I live, who are you to judge?

I probably am close to 2000 on the weekends. Bf and I like to go out to dinner. :D

Definitely agree. I'm 5'2 on a good day and work on the computer all day with 2 days a week work at home. Then at night run a guild on a video game for another 5 hours. So I'm pretty much always sitting :p Most sites do recommend me 1200 when I put in certain factors. :D

I did it in college! We had a weight watchers close to the university so I joined and met some friends there. It was the best decision I ever made. I also lived alone in college so it was easy to regulate myself and not have junk food around.

Fixed it to be public. Not sure why it changed.

Do what works for you. Some people just cannot let it go that others don't eat and exercise like them. 1200 a day is not easy and takes getting used to. You'll learn what foods work for you and you'll learn what you need to do for maintenance after you lose. <3 Feel free to friend me. My diary is open. :]

My diary is open, feel free to view my 1200 cal a day foods.
-
I don't even get why people are so mad. Who gives a F? You learned that exercise allows you to eat more calories? Super for you. Some people aren't like you.

I did 1200 calories a day to lose the weight I needed. I now stagger my calories 1200 Mon-Thurs and weekends, including fridays, are free days where I eat moderately what I want. Could I do 1200 every day? yes but I'm in maintenance mode so there is really no need because over the course of 5 years I've learned that taking…

You look amazing!! Love the outfit too.

Are you insinuating I don't have curves and look fabulous? This is discouraging and this is an encouraging thread. Please post encouraging messages only.

I'm pretty sedentary and even work from home two days a week which is why MFP probably recommended it. I eat 1200 cal a day 4 days a week and the other 3 days don't track but eat what I want in moderation. I've done this for 5 years now and maintained my weight loss. :] I think I've found the low-cal foods I like and fill…

1200cal a day doing weight watchers which on the old system was 21 or 22 points. Took about 6 months to come off with the last 10lbs or so gradually coming of after a year.
-
Amen. I've chosen to eat 1200 calories a day Mon-Thurs for 5 years and I haven't: died, become seriously ill, lost all my muscle tone, become depressed, gained weight back, hated life and eating etc.
-
1200 for 5'2 is the recommended amount for a sedentary lifestyle.

You ladies look great! To be honest though, I did crossfit (lots of heavy lifting with weights going up each day) for about 4 months. I had to eat more than I normally would or I would pass out in class so I couldn't keep to my normal diet (1200cal). I noticed that my arms were starting to stretch out my shirts and not in…

This. I work an IT job and run a guild on a video game at night with my bf. I don't exercise much other than walking the pup so I don't need more than 1200 which is recommended for my height/weight. Been doing this for 5 years, never gained the weight back.
-
If you eat more than you're burning you will gain. This is true for any amount of calories based on you resting rate. I work an IT job and I come home and sit on the computer at night. I'm not exercising so I am able to eat what I want within reason on the weekends and keep to 1200 calories a day during the work week which…

I did 1200/cal a day for my initial weight loss of 180 to 138lbs in 6 months following weight watchers. I've been maintaining my weight loss for 5+ years by eating 1200/cal a day Mon-Thurs and mostly whatever I want on Fri-Sun (but not gorging myself either). It works. :) and it can LAST. No health concerns/issues either.

Thank you! I took a good 6 months for most of the weight to come off and I did weight watchers. The last 10-15lbs was gradually over a year because I wasn't as concerned with it. It took me quite a bit because I didn't exercise however, 6 months of dieting did the trick and I know when I need to go back on the diet when my…

Thank you! I wish I did but I hate exercise. :( I've tried zumba, crossfit, hiking etc. but eventually I stop and just do my diet. I walk my dog for about 15-20 minutes 3x a day. Sometimes I'll use the elliptical in my apartment during a show but not often.

I'm 5'2!

I went from a 38DD to a 34DD and kept the boobs! I'm not the super fit, toned, beach body and I lost the weight by diet alone. I guess I have a lot of mammary tissue?? lol. Happy to have the boobs although I wouldn't mind if they went down just a little. ;)

You look great!!!!

Love reading these!

I have to disagree. :) I'm 26, 5'2, 138lbs. I did 1200cal or less for 6mo on weight watchers to lose 30lbs over 6 months in 2008. I've maintained 138lbs for 5 years STILL doing 1200cal most days. I'm a bit more lenient on weekends but if I feel myself gain any weight, I cut back for the next week to make sure I maintain.…
