  • Don't even worry about your weight. There are people of all shapes and sizes who do CF. There are several women who are WAY over 200lbs in my box alone and they are just doing what they can, scaling the workouts and working hard. You can do this! Let us know how it went!
  • I agree totally with this statement. Although I do often get caught up in what others are doing or how fast they are doing it, but i've gotten better at focusing on myself. And the sense of accomplishment and doing better than what you thought you could is a great feeling. That happened for me today during the WOD. I went…
  • Great work!! I don't think I will ever come close to touching that!
  • Todays actual WOD was: 15 min amrap: 10 Power Snatches @95#, 100m Farmers Carry w/50# db in each hand I got through 5 rounds
  • Holy hell! God speed!
  • Warm up: Row 1 min at each damper settings: 1,3,5,7,9 Spidermans 30 sec handstand hold 10 Sumo deadlift high pull w/52# kettlebell 10 kb swings w/52# kb 10 toes to bar repeat Strength: Death By Thruster 10 min - on the first min, do 1, on the second min, do 2...etc until failure. When you fail, start over at 1, then 2,…
  • Damn! How did you survive? Awesome job!
  • Part A: 7 sets: 1 hang p. clean + 2 jerks Part B: EMOTM for 5 min: 2 hang cleans at heaviest weight you lifted today (175#) 2 min rest EMOTM for 5 min: 3 push jerks at 80% of heaviest jerk today (135#) Wasn't super bad today
  • Congrats on being dedicated enough to do Crossfit, let alone get up that early to do it! I agree with nashai, there are lots of others on here, and feel free to add me as well. More support, the better!
  • Add me too! I've been at it for around 6 months now and loving it! Always looking for new Crossfit friends!
  • I set a new PR in my squat clean today! Could have even gone heavier if I wasn't so burned out because we built up for awhile to get to it. Once I get the notion of getting-my-elbows-through-makes-things-easier in my head I know my numbers will jump even more
  • ^^^^^^this! I thought it was the same person fron the other CF thread that got shut down last week. Let it go
  • I agree...glad you are giving it a try. I've been doing it regularly for 5 months now and I love it. It kicks my *kitten* everyday I do it but the feeling after you finish is awesome! Work hard and push yourself but don't be afraid to scale it. Doing the WOD Rx is always tough so many scale it. Good luck and feel free (and…
  • Good luck with that! Just keep pushing and you'll make through!

  • I got totally smoked during todays WOD. The main part of it was 5 rounds for time of 5 manmakers, with 200m run. But this was all following 15 minutes of strict shoulder presses and decline, weighted pushups! My arms were (and still are!) jelly. But the fact that the class encouraged me, and one of them ran my last 200m…

  • I'm a little late to this party but I wanted to note my support of joining. It does cost a little more than I would like to spend, but I figure that i;m paying to get myself in great shape. I love doing it. It kicks my *kitten* every time I go there, and I'm dying during it, but I feel amazing at the end. And definitely…

  • I know exactly what you aer saying. I was thinking about this very thing this morning, because I am in the same boat as you. I crossfit and run 5-6 days a week, and eat good Mon-Fri, indulge a little on the weekends, but still feel like I am not getting anywhere. I'm glad I'm not the only one in this boat. Just keep…
  • That's a bummer babe. Just wondering though, while you are gaining weight, are you maybe toning up? Are your clothes fitting better?
  • I do Crossfit, and I just wear a HRM and put it in the Cardio section. I just label it "Crossfit WOD" and put in my time and calories burned. I don't trust the burn numbers MFP says anyway. Hope it works out for ya!
  • Hey there! Feel free to add me! Good luck to you!
  • I wear a Polar HRM and it's pretty accurate and I get around 1000 cals burned doing 75 minutes of crossfit. I agree with most of the other posts on here that its all about your body composition. When I was much bigger, I was buring over 1000 doing 45 minutes of Inasnity. So since I am in SLIGHTLY better shape now, I am…
  • Dont get discouraged! I"ve been through it twice and I am no where near as fit as the people on there so you can do this! Its tough, and I'll admit I also dreaded the workouts too...until I started seeing results! Initially I just told myself to keep pushing just because I wanted to actually start and finish the program.…
  • I need my metal to workout to, so I recommend anything off the new As I Lay Dying, or "Determined" by Mudvayne
  • Awesome results! I've been doing Crossfit for 2 months now and have had some great results also. Keep up the hard work!
  • That is some amazing progress there babe! you look incredible now! so very happy for you. keep up the great work!!
  • Ive done it twice now, and will be doing a hybrid with P90X also, but i'll work along with you all
  • amazing job!! Looking fantastic!! Keep it up babe!!
  • I had the model you are talking about. It has "plates" with rubberbands on the inside of them? I like it, and it did work for me. I think if you follow a good routine you'll have some nice results. Good luck babe!
