Hi, I am 5'4.5" and started at 221 just before Halloween. I am currently at about 194. My goal is 140 or less, will know more when I get there. My daughter says she can already see huge changes - that kind of comment keeps me motivated.

Sorry, didn't mean anyone on MFP - MFP gals are great. When I was pregnant, it seemed that everyone felt the need to tell me labor horror stories - really bugged me. I am a realist, but was scary the things people felt I needed to hear.

I gave up my diet soda in November. YOU CAN DO IT! If you get caffeine headaches - Excedrin has a wee bit and helps with the withdrawal. The greatest thing that has come of my quitting is the huge amount of money I am socking away! You may want to do the math - was quite surprised.
