It's all about what is more important to the individual. It's not all about calories to some people. I would eat those but would definitely not eat regular pancakes or cookies.

I make my own almond butter but, if you're going to buy it, just make sure that the only ingredient is almonds...and maybe salt. Many brands put in a ton of unnecessary sugar.

I have been following South Beach guidelines for many, many years. I was never overweight but had a few pounds to lose. I lost those pounds and have maintained. I have never/will never track calories. The only thing I have ever measured is nuts. I do, however, spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Good luck!

I make my own salsa so it's not high in sodium. As far as a recipe, what I do is roast two trays of vegetables (zucchini, yellow squash, asparagus, cauliflower, etc.) at 425 until nicely browned. Spray a large pyrex and add the vegetables and mix in fresh spinach. I add egg whites just to cover and bake at 350 for 35…

I always have a roasted vegetable egg casserole topped with some kind of chicken (this week it's chicken verde) and fresh salsa.

There is no way I could eat this for a day never mind for a week.

I just made this and it was really good http://www.slenderkitchen.com/recipe/slow-cooker-beef-adobado. I substituted flank steak for the brisket. This is definitely one of my favorites http://www.skinnytaste.com/2014/03/crock-pot-carne-guisada-latin-beef-stew.html

90% of the time, I am cooking two different meals, like you, one for me and one for my husband and son. The other 10% we eat the same protein. What I tend to do is batch cook for me over the weekend, portion it out and freeze it. Since I do this just about every weekend, I have a large variety to choose from. I make sure…

About $200+ a week for me, my husband, 20 year old son and dog (I make her food) in New Jersey. We rarely eat out (maybe once every few months). I pack my lunch but my husband, when he has time to eat, buys his as does my son. I would say a good portion is spent on snack food for my husband and that I make two different…

I've brought mini stuffed peppers many times. Cut the peppers in half and flatten them. I fill them with whatever shredded meat I feel like making (pulled pork, shredded chicken, shredded beef) and top it with almond cheese and pickled jalapeno . So good!

Just make sure you get all natural where the ingredients are just peanuts and sometimes salt. It's very low and sugar and tastes much better.

I usually get either chicken or shimp fajita no rice, beans (don't like beans) or tortillas with a side of vegetables. So, I just mix the fajita meat with the vegetables and salsa and, of course, some hot sauce. So good!
