  • THIS!!! is the exact reason why fad diets surface. Plans given to people with serious health problems go around circles and turn into diets for magical weightloss. It pas to research what you are doing and really look at the people who 'should' be doing it over people who just do it to lose weight. If you are looking at a…
  • I've had this kind of thing happen to me more than I care to admit. One time that sticks out to me was walking with a friend once, who was much larger than me at the time, two guys pulled up just to yell at her. She kept walking as she was used to it but I was humiliated. She then just said 'They are little people. You…
  • Exactly this! I was so worried about the expense of the food I was going to be buying that I told my boyfriend, who pays for the groceries, that I would foot the cost of anything extra he had to pay. Turns out that shopping is cheaper by $30-$50/week. And I'm saving money from not buying crap from the cafe's for lunch at…
  • I don't usually plan them but will go out for dinner once every 2-3 weeks. So I enjoy myself, make good-ish choices but I don't paw over the menu trying to find the absolute lowest calorie thing there. If I go over, eh. I'll make it up during the week. No biggie. My days are more just to prepare me for life, not writing…
  • Certainly muscle. There is a very small amount of fat up near my knee but that's it. It's mostly coming from my butt/top of thighs and tummy right now. I have back issues so I'm trying to do what I can to work my core without sit ups.
  • I have had it done just before starting and intend on having it done regularly. I'm going to invest in the fitbit scale so I can do it at home.
  • I actually have an extremely high muscle mass already. My calves are so large that I can't wear boots, even gumboots or boots that are made for bigger girls. Even knee high socks can be a struggle. Same with my thighs. I already have well formed abdominal muscles. I am focusing on my arms and strengthening them…
  • If you'd read my first post you'd know. Thankyou for taking the time not to do that.
  • If I hit a plateau I'm happy to eat back all of my exercise calories for a little while just to get a 'refeed' type thing going and drop them off again. I'm even happy with going back up to 1800 as I know I probably wont gain any. If I do, ah well... the trend is down. Thanks so much for the confidence in what I'm doing.
  • I put fruit in mine. But lately I've found a brand that has dried fruit and cinnamon without added sugar. So much easier in the morning. I don't overcook mine, I leave it a bit runny so it never goes 'barfy' lol.
  • Dude you are fine. It's meant to be like that. If it was like that at lunch time I'd be worried.
  • I live by a single moto. And I apply it to everything I struggle with. This is hard. If it was easy everyone would do it. We wouldn't need sites like this. Noone would complain about being fat. Health related disease would not exist. The only person that can make this choice is you. If you give up, you are chosing to be…
  • Certainly not hungry. Not tired. I eat enough protein and carbs. Most of my fats are 'good' fats and I'm always under in the saturated and haven't ever registered any trans. I had about 2 weeks where I was only meeting 1200-1300 in food and netting about 900 and my weightloss was at 0.5kg/week so I went back to trying as…
  • highest - 275 starting mfp - 226 current - 202 goal - 154
  • And no I'm not low carbing or cutting anything. I'm usually 40/30/30 or 50/25/25. I use a HRM to count cals burned which only counts anything where my heart rate is above 75 which is my RHR.
  • I'd check it's not your tailbone. I've taken a few good falls at derby and the worst I've done is bruised it but you can break it very easily. Bruising still hurts like a b*tch. It felt like I needed to poop for 3 days at the very least and just hurt all the time. If you've cracked the end and it hasn't healed properly…
  • lol I know right. I have dessert really often. I also eat late at night 10-11pm when I come home from derby training. I've lost 11kg/24 lbs in 2 months. Yeah... and my belly is shrinking quicker than the rest. Pfft to that. And while we are on foods that make certain parts fat... can I ask about boob fat foods? Cause uh...…
  • If I was that low I'd at least have a glass of milk. I may not be hungry but I don't want to upset things too much and end up being a starving goat the next day. Well, that's what happens to me. After about 11am the following day of low eating I can't be satiated. It's happened a few times. But if you want that ice-cream,…
  • There is nothing like logging the food and seeing what effect it will have to turn me waaaaaay off. I'd still have have a tiny bit tomorrow though... heheh
  • I make a really spicy one and love it in sandwhiches and mixed through salads. Have it on all the mexican foods we make. I use it ontop of meats. Putting in a baked potato sounds brilliant!
  • That was rude. If that were my kid they'd be punished for being rude. I don't appreciate comments from children who have no manners. My step kids think I'm old but I'm a known person to them however, it is not polite to say things they intend to be mean to anyone. Even if it is true, it's not ok to hurt someone's feelings.
  • No pic but... my fridge is getting old and loves to randomly freeze things. My diet yogurt doesn't respond to being frozen and defrosted, just like my diet sour cream. So today I was all excited for yogurt and opened it to find it the consistency of baby vomit. Watery with white chunks. So sad. And I was starving.
  • Chinese and mexican food. With all the cheese and the spring rolls.
  • For the first two weeks I was told I wouldn't last more than that. My partner still asks me if I'm ok when I get on the stationary bike and do sets. People ask me all the time 'what are you doing' as if they are going to hear a magic answer or I'm going to admit I'm taking something for it. If you want this, you'll see…
  • And if you want skin tights that make your legs look hot, go with Peavey. They the best out there. I skate in them along with most derby girls. Best.
  • I love welovecolors. Their stuff is great priced and great quality. I'm a plus size and they are beautiful! I'd wear brights and match with accessories. I wear tonnes of black but commonly have something bright on. My favourite are my rainbow tie dye ones from there.
  • I'm also using the HRM to stay in the zone too. It helps me with interval training and knowing if I am actually getting fitter with my recovery rate. I found out it's only calculating the cals ontop of my BMR... lol. So it's not going to let me log the calories I burned just being alive but the ones I've burned EXTRA from…
