Sounds like atkins is not for you. It's ok. It's not for most people.

Heavy lifting will bring the best results. Somewhere around 3 days lifting, 3 days cardio/conditioning.
-
what does "worked" mean? the answer to what?
-
My bad - typo. I meant to say you WON'T gain weight while in a calorie deficit. let me see if i can edit my original reply.
-
You could probably stand to eat more protein than that. You won't gain weight from eating "too much" protein while in a calorie deficit. edit: somehow I originally wrote "you will gain weight" rather than "you won't gain weight". :noway:

This is what the activity level adjustment is for.
-
Estimate it somehow and log it under "cardio".
-
don't count sugar. count carbs. better yet, count protein and fat, and let carbs end up where they may.

Any activity can help with weight loss in the sense that it increases how many calories you burn in a day. But it really comes down to diet. You can do yoga and the elliptical all day long and won't lose an ounce if you eat at a surplus. Likewise, you can sit on your *kitten* watching tv all day long and lose weight…
-
Yoga is for fitness, flexibility, and mental well-being, among other things. Calorie deficits are for weight loss.

i don't wear 'em because i have chicken legs

Well aren't you a special little snowflake.

I agree with out-exercising a small surplus. But when you originally wrote "eat like a pig", to me that implied a huge surplus. 700 cardio calories a day seems like a great way to burn out.
-
yeah, good luck out exercising a poor diet.
-
Good diet and strength training. Don't waste time overtraining abs. Get your body fat percent low enough for the abs to show through. Add full body strength training.
-
Add strength training and eat more food. You are chronically undereating and your exercise seems to consist of mostly cardio. That is a recipe for burning through muscle and being "skinny-fat".

Your diary is set private. No photos posted. I can just make some stuff up if you want.

it doesn't taste anything like peanut butter
-
At the risk of stating the obvious, how about netting more than 5-600 calories a day you're currently netting?

I was testing. If it's so obvious why did nobody spot it?
-
So the take away message here is that with 1500 total income and 1200 total expenses, the 300 remaining dollars don't count, and just disappear somehow? Thanks. Now I understand the maths people use with their 1200 calorie diets.

I think everyone should be allowed to post whatever they feel, unless I disagree with it.

OP: On behalf of MFP, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
-
Nutritionally, it is the same. Get over it.
-
Nobody is saying that you have to eat a bunch of carbs at night to lose weight. We're just saying that it's ok to do so, as long as you're in a net energy deficit and have pretty reasonable macros. Chill out buddy. Maybe some pre bed time oatmeal will cheer you up.

lol carbophobia

Wear the most comfortable thing. You're not going to burn more calories sweating more.
