TEF is pretty negligible but whatever.

It's a good thing you didn't post this earlier in the day because a lot of people in this thread would have been utterly destroyed by the regulars. And yes, for weight loss it is as simple as CICO. See the twinkie diet, McD's diet etc.

sounds good especially with summer coming soon.

^this. Don't try to be a perfect dieter because it aint happenin, sweetheart :) Remember, success is a not a straight line. You may end up going in circles for a bit but as long as you stay consistent the weight WILL fall off, guaranteed.

Not necessarily true. This is LARGELY determined by genetics more than anything else. Huh? This seems like hyperbole. As long as his protein is adequate he needn't worry about too much muscle loss.
-
You better watch out. Look what happened the last time she *thought* someone was accusing her of lying O_o

The CDC sees nothing wrong with aspartame, get over it. \

LOL! Right. Hmm well you guys can add me if you need help. I'm on everyday and I'm quite supportive/motivational.

your goal is way too aggressive for your size, OP I've been losing an average of 2.5 a week since December and I'm doing fine. No. That's not how starvation mode works.
-
OK there's a whole bunch of things going on here. First, when you exercise your body may retain water to repair itself which may mask weight loss. These losses you describe when you're not exercising are attributable to your body getting rid of the excess water since it is no longer stressed out and no longer needs it.…

Don't plan on getting married but judging by the map I'm very impressed at the progress made :)

Yes it is very awkward to have a huge head and relatively small body. Stop cyberbullying us

Interesting. I read somewhere (i think on Forbes) the X-Box actually has been losing money for MS for years now.
-
lol I still can't believe they shipped the game at 792p. I thought it was supposed to be a AAA super grand entrance. I guess its the gameplay that matters though.
-
You got a lot of good advice. I don't see anyone being rude to you...
-
YES. I think this is an important point many people overlook. I've seen several people who lost weight rapidly and have been able to sustain it. Weight loss and maintenance are two different processes which involve different strategies. If you are large enough to safely lose 3lbs a week, then go for it. Why continue to…

If it was so successful for her, she wouldn't need to be doing it another time. OP you already acknowledged its unsustainable, how is this time any different?
-
I think yours is too

Stop being so rude and arrogant

LOL it never fails. OP: Why am I not losing weight? Reply1: You're not measuring correctly Reply2: YOU'RE IN STARVATION MODE Reply3: Your're retaining water Reply4: You're not logging accurately OP: THANKs #2 I'll eat more !!!

This is ****ing hilarious and I hope it stays like this. My Passive-Aggressive Fitness Pal.

Nah, she's cool Mrm27. She is a lot more open to suggestions than the majority of people who post these topics :)
-
I just realized she didn't actually SAY those first two things so I had to go back and edit it. In any case, I still give her no credit.
-
It's too late and I'm too worn out to even begin to argue your nonsense today so let me just direct you back to the thread where you were called out by other posters (which coincidentally you never bothered to respond to): http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1279532-starvation-mode-is-a-myth?page=5 Aside from that,…

Sorry went back and clarified my post. The post psych linked is a very good one. The link will answer your questions in greater detail :)

No your body does majority of your burn via your BMR (carrying out everyday functions to keep you alive). You techincally don't even need to exercise to lose weight. All you have to do is consume less calories than what your body is burning doing its everyday thing. The point is, if you aren't tracking accurately via…

If you are at a deficit, you will lose weight. PERIOD. Some people apparently believe they are immune to physics. The metabolism never slows down to a point where you stop losing weight if you are truly eating at a deficit. The more logical answers have been given to you.
-
weight loss isn't linear and never as you would quite expect it. things like water retention and cortisol often come into play. also using a food scale, you will see a huge difference in what you *think* a serving is.

Wow so much fail contained in a single post.

No matter how many times you keep repeating this, its not going to come true. The body doesn't start to begin burn muscle as its primary fuel source until youre nearly dead.
