Im pretty sure this person is encouraging the paleo diet. Though its hard to take someone seriously when they make horrible and unsubstantiated claims while writing in stanzas.

Yes it does happen and it has happened to me. When you first start working out your body might end up retaining water. Just stick with it and it'll come off.
-
No you don't just "bulk up" by lifting weights, esp if you're a woman. Its a very specific and intentional process that doesn't happen by accident. Even MEN have trouble trying to gain muscle and they have testosterone. It takes months and months of deliberate heavy lifting to even begin to see good results.

lol @ you for not realizing that post and this entire thread is joke. Congrats to Nutella for stepping up the trolling ITT and salvaging this once unfunny thread.
-
weaksauce/10. Take your unfunny antics back to bodybuilding.com, brah.
-
99% of the time, that's impossible. You either weren't counting correctly, overestimated your burns, and/or got frustrated over water weight gains and gave up.

This is turning into the new "I'm pretty sure this guy is quoting Twilight"

So you'll try everything except accurately and consistently tracking your calories and eating normally. OK boss :)

Sorry if I misconstrued the bolded part for condoning VLCD :ohwell:
-
Yes this site needs more people to advocate 600 calories a day diets (which are against MFP guidelines, btw)

I didn't really report him. Sometimes its just fun to troll the trolls. Also, I hardly consider it "stalking" seeing as he put his twitter on his profile photo which i presume he wants people to see? I admit I do need a hobby, but it certainly wouldn't be white-knighting "random" dudes on MFP ^_-

well according to your twitter (which is clearly on your profile pic), you love to photograph women, so you really shouldn't be having issues meeting them

You're still in high school so you were underage when you were joined.

You two need glasses then because there's a GIGANTIC gap where his shoulders should be touching  But awesome job on his part.

both so you don't loss lean body mass while losing fat
-
No thats not how it works. Your body doesn't go into starvation mode unless youre like at 5% body fat. Your metabolism doesnt slow down to a significant degree either until you reach third world levels of starvation. However, if you're not consuming enough calories or not properly hydrated, your body will hold on to water.…

Perfect cliffs for anyone coming in late. In for round 2

I see you *still* don't get sarcasm.
-
Wow you must be new to the internet.
-
This Anna person seems to be conveniently ignoring the explanations and advice.
-
You probably should be addressing Sara's questions if you aren't already. Most likely culprit is water weight. Or you're underestimating your calories.
-
You can't build muscle while at a caloric deficit. however, doing str training in conjunction with cardio will prevent muscle loss while losing weight.

double the pleasure

Wow thanks. I've been on this forum for over three years now and this is seriously the first time I've seen anyone explain WHY eating more can cause you lose weight. They just say, "youre not eating enough, TDEE - 20% blah blah blah".

*wolf-whistle* Fantastic work and determination! That's awesome that you broke through the plateau -- one of the most frustrating and soul crushing obstacles in this whole ordeal. Keep up the great work :)
