  • I am soooo envious of those of you who are meeting for lunch. I would love to meet ya'll. Let us know if everyone was good (talk about accountability - 4 MFP ladies at one table!) Thanks for all the prayers. I haven't heard anymore except that the fluid in the brain is keeping them from doing dialysis? I am guessing that…
  • Welcome Bunny - and you're not alone with the midlife crises children. There are a couple of us on here. I'm 53 with an 11, 13 and 17 year old still at home!!!:noway:
  • Only lost .6 pounds. Oh well. Please eep praying for my BIL's nephew. He opened his eyes for 15 seconds. They have transported him a hospital in downtown Chicago. Update: Just got a message that his heart is functioning again almost at 100 percent. Prayers are being answered.
  • Oma and Opa are definitely German (my husband is German and my MIL and FIL are Oma and Opa). I believe another country uses them also.
  • krisann - Once you've posted on a topic, when you go to the message boards just click My Topics and you'll find us again. Beware, the topic closes at 500 responses and the link to the next one will be in one of the last messages. Welcome youngster.:flowerforyou:
  • Congratulations JB - sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I've not really lost since December when I hit 158 then got up to 160. I was 158 last week and I am getting excited to weigh in tomorrow because I really kicked it in gear this week. I just know I am going to see 157 tomorrow. My lowest in December was 156.8…
  • I understand that fitbit adds calories then takes them away if you become less active during the day, but I thought when you set it not to used negative calories then it wasn't going to do that. Jodios - how nice that you looked "pretty." Other than buying a couple of pair of size 10 jeans I'm not shopping until I am a…
  • I put this on my status but didn't get any responses - so anyone here know? Does anyone else have problems with the fitbit taking calories away? Sometimes at night I enter my food and it will have given me 500 exercise calories (for example) and I complete my diary under calorie goal. Then I look at it the next day and it…
  • So I've finally decided to kick it in gear this week. Yesterday I summarized each month's lowest weight on my profile. August 2012 184 September 175 October 167 November 161 December 160 January 2013 157 February 160 March 158 As you can see I had a great start but since November my weight has been basically the same. So…
  • So how many times am I going to write huge posts just to discover after I've hit the Post Reply button that the topic was closed.:explode:
  • Oh Barbiecat, your Jake did way better than I could have done. I have become the worse backseat driver ever!! I swear I don't know how my husband drives without me there to keep him from wrecking into everything.:noway: Jane, that's great that you had such a great check up, but too bad about your foot. I haven't been…
  • Jane, I'm the opposite, don't eat well, but log great :noway:
  • Ok, I've finished day 3 of being sick. It's killing me to look at my fitbit and see 2000 steps for the day, and that's only because I'm in the basement and have to go up the stairs to get anything. So, I have a good stair count (17) but the steps - so depressing. I do feel much better and feel I'll probably go to work…
  • Cool Sundance - I'm not the only Mom with kids still in school on here - mine are 11, 13, 17 and 34. The 17 is a step-daughter although I often forget that. I am still sick, sick, sick. Daytime tv stinks. On a positive note, my fitbit just came in the mail. It's charging now. Yaaaaayyyyyy!!!1
  • Ok Jackie, we want pictures!!! Great success. grandmallie - that was quite the rant - I couldn't follow it all after the husband teasing you with his food - did he live through that? You know I had plantar faciitis for 6 years - for everyone else I knew it went away in 6 months. The doctor kept saying I should lose weight…
  • Just a quick note to show that I got to ride my horse today, albeit just in my pasture, but it felt good.
  • Wow Linda!!! Under 200, you must be thrilled. Can't believe you just casually threw that out there - WooHoo!!! My February Goal of not eating anything at work that I didn't bring - Major FAIL  Michelle, glad your drive home was safe. Nana - good luck on the 30 day shred - another FAIL for me :frown: Jackie - you are…
  • I've used it on and off for years. It just helps you lose a tad faster (1 extra pound for every 2). And as long as you don't eat a high fat diet there are no side effects. It does deplete your body of vitamin D so be sure to take extra D before bedtime every night.
  • Wow we're a talkative bunch. Lucy - I had a chocolate binge yesterday two - I ate 2 squares of my baking chocolate - how pathetic is that - that 280 calories could have been an entire meal. Jane - thanks. Judy - I've never had a mammogram either. I'm waiting for a better test. FatandFifty - welcome - let's hope you change…
  • Happy Hump Day back.
  • MegBlair - what about dog grooming?? It costs about $5000 and I don't think there is an entrance exam. I always thought I would like to do this when I retire. You can work independently or for someone. This is a warning. This is post 499. Look before you type 500 lines and hit "Post Reply" just for it to go to never never…
  • I wanted to put a picture of my horses on here but photobucket isn't working. I am going to see what this does. That one didn't work but now photobucket is back. Here it is Ha!!! Got them both to work. Just took a quick picture with my phone after turning them out and giving them hay. It's pretty now, but will be a muddy…
  • So Jane, that is you in the picture - my goodness you look young!!! Well I had to leave work a few hours after I got there because it started snowing so hard. Jodio - do you live near me? I can't remember (over 50 ya know!) I parked my car at the barn, did all the barn work alone and let the horses in before they all…
  • Putting my name and contact information on my fitbit is a good idea. As it was there was a Mexican guy with two horses he was about to ride when I went back to search the parking area and some of the trail so I asked him to keep a look out for it on the trail and gave him my phone number. (I thought maybe my black fitbit…
  • Ok Jane, is that you with the blond hair in these photos? If so you need to get off of the over 50 board immediately!!!
  • Thanks Jackie for saying I look great despite what I really look like in that photo. Also thanks to those who quoted (Eileen) instead of replying, I liked seeing my horse and my daughter show up on another page  Today without my fitbit is sad. I am wearing an inexpensive pedometer that my work supplies but it's not…
  • Ok, I know I gained 3 pounds, but I promise I do not look as fat as I do in this picture. Even my face looks fat here. Oh well, my horse looks good. I was soooooo happy to be able to ride today. It was 36 degrees, sunshiny and no wind. It was wonderful. The horses behaved and we rode for over 2 hours. A real bummer though,…
  • I am going to use that. Every day is a do over!!!:flowerforyou:
  • Positive Power - that's looks like one of the Biggest Loser workouts. Megblair - don't envision me asking for my clothes back!! Envision me giving them my size 10's by June!
  • DeeDee - what the heck? Why are you doing squats when you have pneumonia?? My quick gratitude list: I have enough hay to feed my horses for a couple more months (hay is hard to find) I have a job that gives me so much flexibility that I can manage the work/life balance easily. My job pays me way more than they should. My…
