My Dad regularly took me to the hardware store with him and I love them to this day. Teach her how to use tools and do repairs if you are a handy guy....lifelong skills and often not passed on to daughters.

I reached the point where I was almost done... 3 or 4 pounds from goal... And decided I needed to teach myself to maintain happily and effectively, before I went further. i have learned a lot about what works for me...combo of 80/20 approach and IIFYM and moving more to "buy" calories. Still learning but it's going well.

"WHY DO FLUCTUATIONS IRK ME SO MUCH!!?!!" OP, I hear and share your irkiness. I've been maintaining within a 5 pound range for more than a year but these little ups make me a little nuts. I agree with both responders. Ironically, my trainer proved to me long ago that moving around more (a long walk, a bike ride, some gentle exercising ...sort of hair of the dog" approach) will loosen it up better than rest.

Honey, it really doesn't look as bad to us as it does to you, but you now have a plan from these good people: 1. Check it out with your doctor just in case, 2. Get involved with weight lifting, 3. Keep going with the same guts and commitment that you brought to bear to accomplish a fantastic weight loss, 4. Be patient. You…
