IMO, I think it's a great idea! I used to work out with the Wii and moved on to the Kinect myself. The Wii can only tell you so much, seeing how it uses the wiimotes to determine everything. With the Kinect, you get a better picture of how you're doing and more guidance. I actually work out with my friends on-line, and we…

Wow! Bump for sure!

I have had to deal with this as well. What I try to do is either get them to come to my place, and therefore I control the food, or else I will offer to bring stuff to their place so they can lay back and relax. This way, I know exactly what I'm eating, plus I know I'm getting my friends to eat healthy too.

I used to go to Curves, and I wasn't a huge fan of the trainers. The idea behind Curves is awesome though. I'm actually still using the meal plan that they provided to me years ago. They should have a trial period. I suggest you give it a whirl and see if its your cup of tea. Good luck!

Have you tried going to a running store? It could be something easy, like you're wearing the wrong kind of running shoes for the way you run. Hope it works out for you!

Amen to that! I'd go crazy without my gum

I take Magnesium Calcium supplements (AKA Mag Cal) 10 days before it starts and 2 days after. I was one of those girls that used to have to call into work because the cramps got so bad. Now I have no pain AT ALL. It's awesome! My naturopath recommended it to me. The only downside, is that my period lasts for one day more,…

I'm in the same boat as you, but I want to lose slightly more than 50 (more like 100  ). This is an awesome site for motivation and support. I feel so lucky to have my MFP people in my life. Add me if you like and good luck on your journey! :drinker:

I actually buy them already cooked into my bread from Cobs bakery. The have a Chia whole wheat loaf that is super tasty!

I am as far from being a runner as possible, and I am currently doing the C25K. I LOVE IT! Highly suggested to me by many of my friends, and I love the fact that you can have your music on while this app is running. I'm actually excited to go running now. Hope everything works out for you!

I have thought about this too. I really noticed it the other day while playing dodgeball. Even as a big girl, I can dodge like there's no tomorrow. But, the more weight I lose, the more my skills seem to fade. I think it's more along the lines of this is a new body for me, and I still need to get used to it. Will I have to…

I didn't know booze was an option. You should probably go with that

Try throwing some True Lemon or True Orange into your water. It makes a refreshing change to the sometimes bland taste of water, and is quite good for you. Good luck on your search!

I think I have gotten extremely lucky, in the fact that my MFP friends and family are extremely supportive and we all want to see each other succeed. If one of my friends has gone MIA for 2 months though, I wave goodbye and move on with my journey.

BUMP! Thanks for sharing this. I knew there was some method to the madness on eating breakfast

Other than the six alarms that I have on my phone, which I have mastered turning off while still sleeping (I have the mad skills), I have this clock from ThinkGeek http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/lights/91f2/. Nothing will get me out of bed faster. For one, it's loud and has no volume control. I set my snooze time for…

You could look at getting a heart rate monitor (HRM). I know I am. Good luck to you!

Thanks for sharing this!

Kinect is the number one source for me for working out. I use Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout, your Shape, Zumba, and Dance Central.

My son is a very picky eater (he comes by this naturally :blushing: ) and I feel like I was raised on processed and fast food as well. I refuse to do the same with my son and make every effort to make sure who only healthy food goes in. Luckily, I've discovered the Sneaky Chef series of cookbooks. They have been a major…

My husband is a huge fan of Good Eats and they have the perfect way to pop popcorn. Here is the link to the show on YouTube. its delicious AND healthy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohJo-fxTXZM

Food motivation: figure everything out before hand. Only buy what you plan to eat and nothing else. It's a whole lot easier to eat healthy if there is nothing in the house to foil your plans. Exercise motivation: I have an exercise buddy who I work out with at 430 in the morning. The working out in the morning isn't for…

Hey! I'm trying to lose more around the 100 lb mark, but I feel like the more support the merrier. Add me if you like, and good luck to you on accomplishing your goal!
-
I get up at 4am to work out at 430. Crazy, I know. But my motivation is I do the Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout on the Xbox 360 Kinect with one of my dearest friends. We are both up and ready for our 430am workout. If we don't show up, we just let the other one down. Pretty good motivation right there. Also, because we can…

That happened to me too! Lost my pants. Luckily no one noticed. Phew!

That happens to you too? I thought that happened only to me! He gets so angry when I try to pull away and he starts chasing the car down. He always manages to get in though, as I feel bad for getting his hopes up and letting him think he was going to get into the car in the first place.

I think from everything that we've learned from the news, EVERYTHING gives you cancer or something else. We're all doomed. Party at my place?

Hello Jon, Congratulations on making the decision to make a change in your life for you. I'm on a similar path, in which I want to lose 100+ lbs. Add me as a friend, if you like, and we can motivate each other to new heights.

My son. I want to be around for a long time for him. And my husband. I want to nag him for many more years.
