@HanamiDango ... why not make yourself one for lunch even if you don't go anywhere? I mean, consider it a little treat & TLC time for yourself in the morning. Who doesn't want to eat an extra cute lunch? :) Also those cups are adorable! I would totally get heart shaped ones. And now I must find them XD @SpecialKitty7 Yeah,…

@SpecialKitty7 I actually wanted the Totoro one like this, everything else I'm getting is Totoro themed but this was such a cute substitute <3 Yeah I hope it's useful having 2 diff shapes, guess I'll find out!

I think they do XD

That's what I like about bentos so much; you can fill it with whatever you like! I like eating pretty much anything so having some Japanese recipes to add to my arsenal just gives me more good things to eat XD And omg my first bento shipment has arrived! I'm geeking out so hard right now <3

@ElizabethKalmbach I've never looked into it but I love history including the Medieval period so... I'm definitely gonna have to look this up now! @deathninja82 Hm, yeah I'm in Canada so not sure if it'll be available but it definitely doesn't hurt to look hehe

Not sure if I posted here a long time ago or not, but I'm so glad this thread exists! I've been interested in bento'ing for a long time and finally decided to take the plunge. My first part of my bento swag should be arriving today and I've been googling for recipes and ideas. First plan is to make my own furikake... there…

A new wardrobe and eventually a tattoo. The first because I don't want to dress like a bag lady after working so hard XD and the second because I didn't want the tattoo to stretch/shrink until I'd gotten my health and fitness underway.

I've definitely been there, in fact I'm there right now lol I think it's most important to stop comparing yourself to anyone else, because it's both unfair to yourself and unrealistic to do. There are so many factors into weightloss there's no way you could have an accurate mirror in anyone else. First I'll take a look at…

@arditarose It seriously is, it's 250cal but it can easily be made less with less truffle oil (I use a whole tablespoon-- I regret NOTHING haha).

I used to have the same problem and agree with some of the above posters who suggested leaving some calories for after 7pm. The second suggestion I'd make is identify the kinds of cravings you have (chocolatey, sweet, salty, crunchy), and then find healthier alternatives. Ie. Instead of eating chips when I want…

@fitfatty88 I know exactly what you mean. I've been chubby/overweight since elementary school and have only gotten bigger since. I literally have NO idea what I'll look like underneath this; how my body will change, how my face will change. I've also no clue how anyone around me will respond, IF they do, nor how I'll take…

I agree with @malibu927, with only 13lbs to lose it's not going to come off quickly. I second the suggestion to change your loss rate to 0.5lbs/week. It's much more realistic and allows you to eat more as you lose. Also, if you log exercise from the MFP database, they overestimate the calorie burn significantly so if you…

That is awesome, grats! And also seriously inspiring because I started at the same weight and have the same goal: rock that cosplay ;)

Yup, it's subtle but I can definitely see a change in your abs/torso, looks leaner. Your cals seem fine based on how much exercise you're doing and your hard work is clearly paying off. Why don't you trust your measurements? Weight loss/fitness/toning isn't a straight line. And you're already slim so it's not as if there's…

Feel free to add me, I have an awesome support network on here so I know what a difference it can make. Good for you on reaching out!

I was recently diagnosed with Bipolar II, fortunately the meds I'm on are weight-neutral so weight-gain due to meds hasn't been a problem. But finding a balance with weight loss is just as much of a struggle as finding a balance with everything else in my life. One day at a time :)

Agree with the above: small goals no matter how small you think they are, are just steps in the right direction. Tackle what you think you can and let it build as you gain energy and confidence. As far as time and effort for cooking, how much time do you normally put into cooking? Just do a bit of research on Pinterest or…

Scrambled and topped with Sriracha. Cause I put it on everything lol

Pasta. I don't eat it often but when I do I want the plain ol' normal kind, not other grains or vegetables parading around as pasta. I love veggies but they're not spaghetti and no amount of spiralling or grating will change that for me. And bacon. Because bacon makes everything better. Seriously.

I can understand having anxiety, and how sometimes this journey can add to it, especially when there's the rest of life to tackle. The best advice I can offer you is to start break things down into really small steps, and to be patient and kind to yourself. Start with something you think you can handle, some habit or…

Agree that if it's causing you this much stress it's not the solution for you right now. Sure this journey involves some work but it should make your life easier, not more difficult. Maybe later if circumstances are different you can revisit the idea. That being said, can you work out at home? Do you have any time that you…

Firstly, be proud that you completed that program! That's something you've achieved that no one can take away from you. But I understand the confusion and perception of conflicting info. Some info you could provide to help people help you: - Height - Weight - Amt you want to lose - What is your current daily intake? - Do…

I've recently restarted have 70-80 lbs to lose, also breaking it down into smaller segments and slowly building good habits while breaking old ones. Feel free to add me :)
-
*waves* I've only started logging the last couple weeks but my diary is open. Still getting in the habit of it, but no shame in my game regardless hehe
-
You're welcome to add me :) I'm 5'4" and started at 225lbs a couple years ago and share similar calorie goals. Can never have too much encouragement or support!

With only 14lbs left to lose the weight is going to come off more slowly and 1200 cals a day is extremely aggressive, especially if you're active. Is this your net total or are you also eating back exercise cals? On the one hand, give yourself a pat on the back for your hard work so far! Sticking to being healthier for 35…

... oh dear, I just read the top 3 reviews at work and I'm pretty sure my coworkers think I'm crazy. I've had tears streaming down my face for a good hour and I think I might have done some damage to my internal organs from desperately trying to suppress the laughter XD
-
My diary is open to the public, feel free to check it out. Recently starting over so logging consistently is the next thing on my list hehe
-
The only thing you're dong wrong is being impatient ;) You're putting in the effort, the work is showing just not as fast as you want. Give it more time, you have to be at a pretty athletic body fat % to have abs show and that won't happen overnight. Wash, rinse, repeat, give it some more time and those abs will show :D

I try to look at the 'big picture' of weight loss. It's not a straight line and there's no -one- number that tells me how I'm doing. So I weigh myself, take measurements, ook at my physical strength and endurance, how clothes are feeling, my energy level, my moods. If I start looking at more aspects of weight loss and more…
