@nrosebr That's okay, non-geeks are more than welcome too ;) And I know exactly what you mean, 80lbs is a pretty intimidating number! Best advice I've gotten so far was to break it down into really small milestones, like every 5 or 10lbs. That way it seems a lot more manageable. Fully agree that the more support you can…

@mooosy Grats on your loss so far, that's a really cool idea to get your exercise and book geekery in at the same time! Always nice to have more fellow geeks, sending a request your way! @belimawr I'd love to get more into historical fiction, I'm also a big history nerd as well particularly with ancient history. Adding you…
-
@lilackisses Thanks so much for the review, that definitely helps me decide if it's worth it and... yup it definitely sounds like it is! Adding you :) @JordisTSM I think it's an awesome motivation to have, seriously fun and potentially practical XD @NicolaMichelle93 There's many more of us here than I'd ever realized, and…

@GymnasticsMommy The more the merrier! Dropping a friend request your way :) @kristydi That is really cool that cosplay is something you can do with your girls, love seeing the geekery being passed down :D Also really like putting twists on cosplays, love the idea of a genderbent Mal, or any character really. Adding you as…

@rainandwood93 Welcome to the geekery! More friends on your feed really helps I think; they inspire me with their efforts and they encourage me whether I'm doing well or struggling. Makes such a difference on this journey having that kind of support. Grats on the 100 day streak too! Sending a request your way :)

@sparklecomet Hmm, that's not a bad idea! I used to do Pilates Reformer classes, and that's... oh dear so expensive but dang I did love it XD
-
Aww I know the feeling! The few gals I have in my life are geeks, but it's always nice to have more  Yoga is something I always really enjoyed, but Pilates is the one I miss the most. I might consider doing it again when I hit goal, but it's so danged expensive >.<
-
@sparklecomet Of course not, feel free to check out anyone else on here who's posted. What's better than meeting people with similar geek loves who are on the same journey? And another gamer girl, internet five! Sending a request your way  @ninthnarnian Haha, those are some awesome geek loves, I'm also a bit of a…
-
@Kida_Adeylne Dang I'm really gonna have to check out that app now, a lot of people have been recommending it on here! Considering I love the main app and the weather's getting better here... I have no excuses not to learn how to run :D Sending a request your way and glad that others are finding new geeky friends here too!
-
@geminiswede That's a big reason why I'm hesitant to go back to WoW, I know I'll get sucked in really hard XD
-
@lrob98 So sweet that you and your hubby traded and shared geeky loves and then passed it down to your daughter, geeky parenting ftw! And I'm totally happy to add you back, I've resigned myself to being a short and curvy hobbit who will forever wish to be a tall and willowy elf LOL So jelly of my tall gal pals!
-
@cathrynw All geekery is wanted and welcome in the world! It's pretty cool to have so many people who have similar amounts to lose. It can be pretty intimidating sometimes and it's nice to know I'll be in the same boat with other cool peeps. Adding you  @kandell Yeah... I think altering the suit is what I'd do,…
-
@kandell Haha yeah, wanna make the most out of my half-Asianness XD Limited options... pretty sure I'd need to find a butt-flossless Psylocke costume. Cause I don't care how fit I am... I'm not rocking butt-floss in public XD @geminiswede Gamer girls ftw! Looove me the Mass Effect trilogy, probably my fave RPG's. And dang…
-
@kandell Think I'm probably too old to pull off a school girl, but I was thinking of trying out an old school Jubilee from X-Men cosplay. Bit more difficult but not too much hehe
-
@kandell Take moar pics!! Haha I figured Catwoman was also the lowest maintenance outfit as a tight pleathery body suit can be gotten pretty easily anywhere. It's just a matter of her cat-eared cap/shades and whip. It's the easiest intro to cosplay to see how much more seriously I'd want to take it. @trollDolly I'm from…
-
@kandell Yeah it's definitely NOT about the attention that a really fitted cosplay would garner. It's about celebrating the fact that I can ROCK IT if I want to. If I'm gonna do it I want to do it as well as I possibly can XD Also... do you have pics of previous cosplays you've done? And do you take orders? :D @MikaMojito…
-
@kandell I might do that! One of my 'ultimate' goals is to rock a Catwoman cosplay because a) I love the poop out of her b) I'd have to be incredibly fit to pull it off well and c) There are enough Catwomen every year that I won't stand out XD
-
@MegFitrition Omg I think you're the first person I've met here that's in Vancouver too!! Levels of geek don't matter, anyone who's active and positive are welcome. Geekiness is just icing on the cake hehe And yup it's Academie Duello on Hastings: full on old school knights in shining armour type training with broadswords,…
-
Haha, it means "for the mother-effing win" ;)
-
@Ryudori Another geeky gamer girl, yuuuuss! And holy moly I haven't played Magic in a little over a decade. Still miss it though >.> Added! @JaieBird I'm trying to get back to my old bookworm self. Currently on the list of things to read are: The Dune Series, Game of Thrones & Sherlock Holmes. And very neat on having about…
-
@HanamiDango Thanks for the link, I'm gonna add it to my wishlist hehe. And that's totally fair if you've got 3 little ones to chase but I agree, even doing it once a week could be a fun treat for everyone, mum and kids alike
-
@sykin High fives to starting over, at least we pick ourselves up again ;) And ooooh the World of Warcraft... how I miss that game. Keep getting tempted to pick it up again but it's such a timesink XD Consider yourself added! @charlotteX92X You know I'd considered that... is it much different from the main game? Right now…
-
@mangrothian Haha I've been lurking on this thread since you first started it! I've been wanting to bento for a loooong time to finally decide. And then I found all of the Totoro/Kiki's Delivery themed bento stuff on Amazon... and the rest is history XD
-
@whimsy38 a) You are the best mom EVER! b) D&D! It's the one type of geeky gaming I never had the chance to try, and have been wanting to forever >.> c) Cosplay yay! d) Wewt to stat mirrors, nice to be in the same boat with others. In other words, find yourself friend requested ;)
-
This also just arrived, not that I'm nerding out at all LOL Needed some extra containers for breakfast as I usually bring that with me to work as well :)
-
@Azurite27 That is an AMAZING loss first off all, congrats on your hard work! Definitely adding you, can use all the inspiration I can get and that's exactly what you are
-
@RCMPWannaBe Ooooh I'm gonna look that up right now! @deathninja82 Yeah that's exactly what I wanted to start off with. I know that form can be crucial to prevent injury so ideally I'd like a couple sessions with someone just to make sure I don't break myself. Cause knowing my luck I would XD @AngInCanada Non-nerds are…
-
Omg... a suit of mail would be epic XD I like barbells pretty well, what I'd like to do is find a trainer who can teach me how to use kettlebells. It looks fun, dynamic and grueling but I'd only need to do it 3-4x a week for 20-30 mins. There's no excuse for me not to make that kinda time.
-
I actually have that app! It's a lot of fun, want to complete the C25K so I can start using it properly :D
-
What is nerd fitness? Cause it sounds right up my alley haha I was actually looking for some training programs that would 'train' me for the Zombie Apocalypse. Because geeky AND practical XD
