Agreed. My parents always buy the newest nintendo console, but ever since I've had one, my sisters and I were limited to 30 minutes on school nights, and 2-3 sets of 30 minutes per day on weekends. The only time we were alllowed more was if it was stormy outside. This way, we were allowed to play the games we loved, but we…

You take your complete recipe (example, the whole pot of soup) and find out how many bowls that will make. That's the number of servings.

Instead of a microave, I would opt for a toaster over... I live in an appartment where real ovens are forbidden, so that's what we use. It's just as good as a real oven and can cook pretty decent sized things.. it even takes less space than a microave!

Eat until you're not hungry anymore, don't overeat just to make up for it.

I'm proud of myself today because I have been going over my fat intake for more than a week everyday.. but not today :)

I learned a few things about this in Nutrition class this semester... Protein: multiply your body weight in Kilograms by 0.8 (minimum) or 2 (max) Carbs should be 45% to 60% of your calorie intake, but they should be mostly complex carbs (fiber and starch). Fructose is fine (found in fruit). 1 gram of carbs is 4 calories.…

I don't understand... I'm 5'7 and weight 143.. with just a tiny amount of fat! I think the healthy weight for 5'7 is between 118 and 152...

I can't recall exactly, but I think I was twelve. (130 pounds)

Right after you finish a meal, either brush your teeth or chew a piece of gum. With gum in your mouth you won't be able to eat.

I'm from Val d'Or, Québec! But right now I'm living part time in Montréal for college :)

I think I'll follow everyone's advice and try to log approximately what I ate.. and what I will eat :P And also work out more this weekend. :)

Yes, I live in Québec so drinking age starts at 18. :) And I was planning on logging the food, I just lost count of how much I ate when I went shopping.... :(

I'm 5'7, and my body loves 147 lbs. For the last 3 years, I gained weight during the winter and lost weight during the summer, and my annual doctor's appointment showed me I stayed at that same weight. Ever since I joined MFP at a weight of 152 I've been aiming for 130 :)

I'm in CEGEP doing a two year pre-university program. Although my schedule is not too crowded, I find it helpful to really plan everything I do. On my printed version of my class schedule, I wrote down exactly what hours of the day I dedicate myself to homework, work, lunch, AND working out. Writing it down precisely gives…

Steak, chicken breasts, chicken drumsticks, pork, shepherd's pie, homemade pita pizza, shrimp soup.

I'm a bit like that, too, but fortunately my gym class in college this semester is Circuit Training, in which we will be using the gym and learning how to use the machines. When I work out at home, I get lazy, whereas when I go to the gym, I know that if I don't work out, I walked there for no reason :)

I've been like this ever since I tasted chocolate! To fix this, I buy one dark chocolate bar per week and have one piece per day, whenever I feel like I need it the most. It's not too sugary but satisfies my chocolate craving :)

I'll be packing and getting ready to leave the house for college again :)

My height is 5'7, and my short term goal is 145 but my real goal is to lose all my belly fat! I know the actual scale number won't go down that much because I plan on building muscle.

You can mix it up with rice and lots of veggies and soya sauce.

I brush my teeth after every meal so I don't get tempted into having too much dessert or snacking. That makes all food taste gross for a while. If I'm too tempted I chew gum too. Right in the middle of meals, I allow myself a snack only if it's a fruit or veggie!

Val d'Or, Québec during Christmas and summer, Montréal during the rest of the year!

That is such an amazing way to stay motivated! I think I will use that idea, but for push-ups per day, because I have a hard time doing push-ups. I need to get into doing them, but it's just hard to get into it! Thanks for posting this :)
