I just started watching it on Netflix :) it's been on my list for a long time. Now I have tons of it to plow through on the stationary bike!

Looks like the tree of life from the kabbalah. Thanks, I might actually print this out to keep with my recipes.

I mostly intended Deathlok and Deathstroke as shorthand for the Extremis/Centipede serum and Mirakuru, but I guess I could have just said that in the title rather than use the respective posterboys. I was more noting the similarities between what's been going on with AoS and Arrow and wondering which one came first (I…

Jackman, Fassbender and McAvoy were on Graham Norton Saturday, lots of fun. Cannot wait to see the younger and elder Xavier onscreen together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R30BLZKRX6g

Agents of Shield (it's gotten really good!), Arrow, Game of Thrones, Elementary and Sherlock (and yes, I prefer Elementary at this point), Doctor Who, Vikings, Grimm In the maybe not so Geek Squad arena: Archer (earlier seasons were better), Justified, Mad Men, Nurse Jackie, Community, Graham Norton, the Mindy Project.…

I don't recall that scene, might have been noticing someone/something else. Kind of thought automatic and effortless hotness was one of Natasha's superpowers, so it might not have jumped out at me :)

I will probably end up seeing it again at some point and will try to see what you're talking about, but for now I have to just disagree with you on the idea that the Nazis in TWS represented some kind of easy out for America to keep its emotional hands clean. I agree that Nazis are invoked cheaply a lot of the time, it's…

Maybe I need to see it again to understand how you might see it as a campaign against just a small enclave of Nazis and no "real Americans", because I didn't see it that way at all. But yes, being form the US I would see it differently, and I am hoping you are able to allow for the possibility that it's not necessarily…

Nine, really?!? Well, works for me. I love where they left his character in this one, looking forward to the next.

Actually, I felt that way a little about the first CA film, but this one felt different to me. The point that this film (and some other recent stories) seemed to be making is one that I've always felt was true... that the urge to dominate one's fellow man is opportunistic and a common failing of our species, and one…

Happy Belated, mruntidy! The Winter Soldier was probably the least explored character, you're right, but I suspect we'll get more on him in the next one. Qwee "straightener"?

And as if it weren't great enough, seeing Captain America Saturday made watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. tonight twice as rewarding. Love that they are tying the show in with the films.

We went to a CineBistro at 4:30 yesterday (2D showing) so that we could reserve seats ahead of time and not end up stuck in crappy ones. The small cinema was almost full and at least half of us stayed for the duration of the credits.

' Ok, I'm not completely insane: "Everything you may have missed in the first Captain America 2 trailer!" http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:4gCVnqZWR2UJ:io9.com/everything-you-may-have-missed-in-the-captain-america-2-1451669049+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us "So. Agreed! We really enjoyed TWS. Can't say more than that it was just well done; good writing, good acting, good story, and they avoided overdoing the dialogue or the emotion. I could have sworn that when I first saw a trailer for this in the theater ages ago, the number 42 was painted on the sides of the planes air fleet.…

Anybody see it in 3D? Worth it?

Planning to go Sunday. I'm surprised at how badly I want to see it! Never read comics but love this superhero movie renaissance, and the Cap'n has really grown on me.

I don't drink much at all anymore, other than red wine and the occasional light beer, but I recently ordered some Cedilla acai liqueur to play around with and some Creme de Violette, because I had a fantastic cocktail made with champagne and violet liqueur once and am dying to try it at home. Not sure yet what to do with…

I tried it for a while but unless I'm wearing an "un-bra" (Bali Comfort Revolution, wirefree) I can't even take a nap with one on, although the BCR might work if I really had to. I sleep with a king-sized pillow as a knee pillow and it's long enough that I developed a habit long ago of wedging it between my boobs so it…
