I had my first job at 23 years (I still have that job), as a Researcher/Software Developer. I feel old and odd, compared with the others MFP folks, but in my country working at an very young age (before 18-20) is very uncommon. Even for summer jobs or baby sitting.

I also feel like that... mostly when I go to lunch with my co-workers (like every weekday :laugh: ) and I'm all calculating in my head what I can get to fit into my calorie goal... Salads seem almost always a good choice...

I don't know about losing 30 pounds, but with a some calorie defficit (500-1000 calories) and a good workout program, you can get decently toned and lose some good inches in 3 months. Sometimes the scale is not the best goal... you can lose 30 pounds and look flabby or 15 pounds but look leaner.

You should not worry if you don't lose a wekk. It happens, weight loss is not liniar. Do the same for a couple of more weeks, and if it doesn't work, that worry.
