Why would you punish yourself for her unfaithfulness?

Thanks @naxeea. Love your pic.

Two things come to mind, one is do your best to not have sweets and carbs in the house. The farther they are away the more likely you will be able to resist them. Second, maybe some journaling would help? You say that food is the only thing that gives you pleasure. Ask why then write down EVERYTHING that comes to mind. My…

Thank you for the encouragement, @flumi_f!

I too am sorry for your loss @cal0rina. It is normal to want to numb your feelings. You have lost someone very significant in your life. It is painful. I would just add to the other very excellent posts, is to find others to share your feelings with. The human touch can do wonders for our pain. Others can help us normalize…

Finished FD #1. On to #2.

Just remember that right now your body is in repair mode and needs nutrition to complete the job.

@flumi_f :joy: I am so happy for you!

I always have this weird power struggle going on inside. When I was a child, my parents always curtailed what I ate because I weighed more. I began to believe that those who are accepted, like my thinner sisters, could eat whatever they wanted, sweets, chips, cookies, etc.. While those of us who are not acceptable are…

@flumi_f - I would think you are in for a lot of physical changes over the next couple of months as your body heals. So glad to hear you are moving more. Every day a little bit better!
-
I guess that give you plenty of time to hang out with us!

Did both fasts this week. Not doing as well on my TDEE days. Lot's going on with the end of school. Doubt I will have a loss this week but that is ok. I have done my exercise and my fast days so I am happy. @flumi_f - sounds like the surgery went very well. So glad you are sleeping. So much of the body repair work is done…

IMHO, your baby is getting all of his/her nutrients from you. You are already burning large amount of calories feeding your baby, and your baby needs every bite you put in your mouth, every day. This is a good time to eat healthy well balanced meals so both you and your baby gets a constant source of nutrition. Before you…

Glad to be your twin, @snaps27! This week will be a bit funky too since it is the last week of school. And my son came home with a low grade fever. I expect he will be back to normal in no time. He is a tough kid. Hopefully I will get to workout tonight. Doing FD #1 today. Hoping to do #2 on Wednesday.

Wishing you well @flumi_f! Looking forward to hearing how it goes. Good idea to have some R & R after the surgery. Maybe plenty of good movies or books to keep you company as your body heals?

Lots of water and keep yourself occupied with things you enjoy.

Weighed in and lost .2 lbs. Not a lot but I was grateful considering all the food opportunities I took over the Memorial Day weekend. :yum:
-
Finishing up my second fast day. Did alright.
-
FD #1. Not really into it but that is ok. Just need to eat my allotted cals for the day and I am done!
-
Full week this week meeting (and eating) with friends so I will only do one fast tomorrow.
-
How lovely. Hopefully @orlcam will incorporate one of those photos as a group photo. So glad you are at peace with yourself. So beautiful.

I'm in.

Maybe for you, getting 5:2 down first is the most important priority. And remember, something as simple as a walk around the block is exercise.
-
Thanks for the encouragement. I am trying to embrace the idea that like "you can't have it all", you can't eat it all. Would love to reach my GW this time around.

Survived Chuck E. Cheese. Only had one slice of pizza. Someone else ordered a platter to share that included celery! So I had some celery. When I came back I filled in the rest of my calories with nuts and a carrot. I think the fasting really helps calm the desire for junk food. Back to TDEE today. Wishing you all the best…

@flumi_f - you look fantastic! Not just the weight loss, but also that you look very healthy. What a great motivational pic for 5:2 Fasting. :triumph:

FD #2. Just learned that we our having our Little League team party tonight @ Chuck E. Cheese (basically a kids place where they have bad food and arcade games for kids to play). They do have a salad bar but I think I will go online and see if I can find calorie counts.
-
Is that like some New Orleans hipster phrase? Glad you're down 35. It's still a net loss.
-
FD #1 and first fast day/exercise day in about 1 1/2 months. Glad to be back. Glad to have caught up on the 5:2 posts. Move forward, one minute at a time. Food is such a hard addiction. Unlike alcohol or cigarettes, we can't just quit eating. We have to face it everyday, three times a day (unless we are fasting  ).…

The Announcement section with the Moseley Documentary can be helpful as well. Feel free to post questions as you have them.
