Certainly sounds about right. The error might come from how you measure/log your food.

Did you read the OP? Here are the highlights: > I usually lift weights 4 times a week and usually do 20-60 minutes of cardio after each weight lifting session. > I am 5'8 195 lbs. I have decent muscle on my frame and last I had a BF check done I was at 21.6% > But I am around 1200 calories a day an my workouts usually burn…

Your suspicion is correct. Eat more food. You can do it. You don't have to eat 100% clean, but you do have to eat a decent level of calories. Please note - I'm smaller than you, and eat 1000 calories more than you do every day to LOSE weight.
-
I thought they were for men only. You will have to find one that is pH balanced for a woman...
-
Work out your TDEE. Then eat around that many calories every day.
-
How about "Nike Training Camp" ?
-
I did it that way too for a couple of years. I switched to the pure TDEE based approach a few months ago, and frankly it's way more straightforward. There is no need to micromanage calorie burns like that. Just set a flat calorie target (say, 1700), and eat that amount every day for at least 8 weeks. Then re-evaluate. That…

Ok a number of things. I ran your TDEE numbers, and you are at least around 2069 calories. You may have a desk job but you exercise regularly. I come up with 2069 using "Light Exercise" as a modifier; though you are likely more around 2332 (Moderate Exercise). With a 20% deficit, you should be eating 1655-1865 to LOSE 1 lb…

you lost me at the part about vegan diet consisting of mostly salmon and tuna. anyway, you need to address your body composition; not "lose extra weight"
-
I attribute my success to identifying nonsense such as "The Cabbage Soup" diet as pure nonsense that only a fool would subscribe to. Don't give it a second thought.

There are nutritional supplements that fill in gaps in overall nutrition. Those are ok. But weight loss supplements? No such thing.
-
what makes you think you've gained muscle?
-
TDEE includes exercise. It doesn't "depend".
-
TDEE 2163 TDEE - 20% = 1730 (432 calorie deficit). Go ahead and round to 500 cal deficit. 1663 (2163-500) calories per day for 1 lb/week weight loss.

ig·no·rant /ˈignərənt/ Adjective: 1. Lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated. 2. Lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular: "ignorant of astronomy".
-
But you understand it, right? Please explain what weight loss or fat loss advantage low carb or paleo has over any other diet, keeping calories constant between the two. Or is it just wizardry?
-
You're not necessarily evil, but it's a d1ck move for sure.
-
You're ignoring water and glycogen weight. You don't gain 5 lbs of fat or muscle that week. And I'm sure the gain went away in the next few days.
-
Don't see the point? Wondering if they make THAT much difference? No wonder people fail at weight loss. I mean. why bother logging anything? I just ate chocolate cake. I don't eat it every day, so why bother logging it right?
-
Works for me, almost like clockwork. Chances are you're mislogging your calories consumed. If so, you would not be alone, as this is the #1 cause of calorie-counting not working.
-
I recommend taking it orally.

I am. Took about 12-24 weeks for initial transformation. Everything that came after was basically just vanity and fine tuning. I was amused by the idiocy of this thread, but I didn't bother chiming in, until right now, to tell you that it's horribly wrong and senseless.

I was not aware that one could recieve a degree or certification in common sense.

This reminds of the time back in the 80's when my dad was using some shampoo he ordered from an infomercial and was convinced it was reversing his baldness.

Lost 40, give or take. I like things better this way, so I've kept it off.

But why complicate matters? :)
