  • We waited exactly 4 years - our gotcha day was 4 years to the day after we sent our dossier to China. Yup, 4 years. TOTALLY worth it, but we definitely got caught up in the slowdown - we were quoted 7-9 months, even after things started to slow. HA! (our LID was April 5, 2006)
  • Yeah, as much as I am excited for my clothes to fit better, I'm really looking forward to just FEELING better - I am always so sluggish, and I'm sure that my lifestyle is mostly to blame. (the 3 year old calling out "mommy! mommy!" instead of sleeping shoulders a little blame as well!)
  • We make this all the time - I actually just ate it last night! It has directions to make your own roasted garlic, but I am lazy and just buy a jar of it at the grocery store. I serve it with couscous and green beans, and even my 3 year old loves it! :)…
  • Thanks! She's 3 1/2 - adopted from China in 2010. She's from Yunan - where is your daughter from? As I ate my healthy dinner tonight and realized how different it was then what I ate a few weeks ago, I was thinking about how I should be feeling better soon. Hopefully. :)
  • I have this problem too. Talk to your doctor - there is a lot of research out there about acid reflux and asthma being related. My asthma specialist says that she almost always treats patients for both - that they are not really sure if asthma causes reflux or the other way around, but they are connected. I always get a…
  • That's too funny - what a small world!
  • Thank you! :) It's interesting to see a variety of reasons to do one or another first. I ended up walking on the treadmill first, for no other reason then it's a little noisy so I wanted to be done with it before it would wake up my daughter. Hopefully I can make some time earlier in the day during the week so I can try it…
  • Pei Wei used to make me think I was making good choices. I looked up the nutritional info before I went and ordered something that had around 500 calories. A large lunch, but not bad at all for a splurge. As I ate, I kept thinking "there's NO WAY this is 500 calories." I went back and checked it again when I got home. It…
  • I completely understand. I grew up in a house where we just didn't throw food away, and it drives me up the wall to waste food now as an adult. My daughter (3 1/2) eats whatever we're eating, and her appetite varies GREATLY from day to day. So I just never know how much to make her. It's fine when leftovers will work - I…
  • Ooh, filling up crescent rolls sounds really yummy. And definitely 3 year old friendly. :) I never think to do wraps, but that's a good idea too. I don't do mayo (since I don't eat eggs), but sometimes I use guac as a sandwich spread. Might have to pick up some wraps at the store this week too. We do canned soup a few days…
  • Hi! I'm a 36 year old SAHM to a 3 1/2 year old! I'm new here (hello!) and am thrilled to have found the support! I have a lot more weight then I like to admit to lose - the pool opens in less then 5 months!!
