  • You look FABULOUS! Great job! You are truly an inspiration!
  • You are doing awesome! What you need is to add some of us to your friends list, I noticed you don't have any. You know what kicks my butt into gear when I feel lazy, I know all those awesome buddies I have on here are going to tell me how awesome my workout was, and some of them will even tell me they worked out today…
  • There really is no way to "spot train" you'll hear it a million times I'm sure of it. But if you just strength train the muscles in those areas you should see some toning happen, but you can't specifically target them. Also I don't know what your body is like, we all look different and we all change at different paces and…

  • This looks and sounds delicious....going to try...yummo!
  • I set a simple goal for myself when I started. I could hardly do five minutes on the eliptical. So I would do the five I could, and then the next time I would try for five more. Now I can do 30 minutes no problem. On the treadmill I can do waaaay more, but I'm not running, I typically go at 3.0 or a little faster, but…
  • Fiber plus coconut fudge bars....OMGawd....it's like a somoa that I don't feel guilty about! They are so so tastey! I've had a few of them and they are all delicious, but the aforementioned is by far and away my faves!
  • It's strange, I love hazlenut coffee, but the nut itself...yucko! And then there's the body part...those are the only nuts I don't like the smell of! (sorry I couldn't resist the joke)
  • I already know two people who can relate to you, myself, and my best friend. I am not 6 feet tall, but i started here in OCT, lost 20 lbs, then I went on a trip to Florida with my family, and gained all that 20 lbs back. I have lost it since, but it was kind of a hard knock in the head and showed me really just how bad I…
  • For a few reasons...I'll make a list...I'm fond of lists they organize things so nicely, plus I don't have worry so much about punctuation. 1. Shooting at an *kitten* would be quite difficult, as the few I've encounted usually aren't more than an inch in diameter 2. Wouldn't you rather be in the news for something awesome…
  • Fantastic! But you already know I think you're awesome. The pictures just prove how strong and motivated you are! You are gorgeous....oh, and you rock my socks off!
  • I am not educated in sports sciencey stuff, however since I have been more active and watching what I eat (that's not to say the choices are always good, but I'm always aware), I have been thinking that I may go back to school to become a nutritionist and also to study sports science and things just to be more informed as…
  • My husband keeps telling me that he's looking forward to seeing me in those spaghetti strap tank tops. He's never once said a negative thing about my body, but it just seems like an odd thing to look forward to...he must have a shoulder fetish we haven't explored yet...lol
  • I can most definitely see the difference, you've done fantastic!

  • Judy Boom...OMG I'm in love with this name.
  • Gold bond powder also an option. I find that I have to wear shorts or pants that are fitting, the fabric really isn't the issue, it's just that if I can feel the skin on my thighs touching I will get the dreaded "chub rub", if I can't feel it touching, I'm typically safe.
  • went on a trip to Kenya with limited internet access, even though I couldn't log all of my foods (not in database and unsure of ingredients) the first thing I checked was still MFP.
  • I don't think you need sympathy, I think you deserve a huge pat on the back for standing up for yourself! I respect people who take a stand when they know they are being stepped on. It's time to stand up and shake out the doormat you've had on your back and tell people to step off! I hope they got the hint today, and are…
  • Agreed. When someone puts their hand out for help here and someone slaps it, I get a little upset.
  • I'm not always a meanie, but if I know you can handle the crticism I will dish it out for you! I am on regularly and log both my food and exercise usually quite vigilantly. I like to support and be supported, add me if you like...or should I say...if you dare!
  • Aside from all the caloric advice here, which is pretty good, I'd also suggest that you take your measurements when you start, that way if you don't see that scale number you were hoping for, you can take measurements and perhaps see a loss there so you won't lose your motivation.
  • I do the same thing! I only officially record my weight one day, but I weigh every day when I wake up (that's the best time to weigh yourself, truest numbers). My husband removed the scale from the bathroom to weigh out luggage in the living room and I paniced when I didn't see it on the floor so I couldn't weigh myself! I…
  • You can most definitely see the difference, awesome awesome job!
  • Sometimes I have trouble making my calorie goals because I'm not hungry, it hasn't happened in a while. What may help you is to try for just one day scheduling out every meal, about 6 small meals, and try to break your calories up evenly between them. Try following it for one day, and assess your fullness after you eat the…
  • For serious! It is a huge pet peeve of mine when people use that terminology, because no matter how you slice it muscle is just more dense it doesn't weight more....here's the proper use of that phrasing: I weigh more than a baby calf. But you are talking about things without referring to their specific size, muscle and…
  • I had a discussion with my trainer about this today. Say you had a one pound lean steak, and 1 pound of fluff. Which one has more fat and takes up more space...the fluff. Also if you put that fluff, and that meat in seran wrap or a baggie...which ones is going to look smoother and take up less space...the steak. It helps…
  • Well I just skimmed, but I would suggest drinking at least 2 liters of water a day. It seems like you're on the right track with your exercise, and that you know your own limits.
  • I had a similar story as one already up here. I heard about a work challenge that another group was doing, and asked some co-workers if they'd be interested in starting one, so we did, I won that one. Then I went on vacation, and gained 13 lbs back, and when I came back I decided to join another weight loss challenge, I…
  • Large bags of anything chocolate. I can handle it if I have a fun size pack, I eat it, I'm good. But if you have the big bag meant for candy dishes of anything, M&M's, hershey's kisses, Peanut butter cups, you name it, I'll over do it.
  • I almost always eat 1400-1500 calories, but there are times when time gets the better of me and it's then that I use Powerbars to boost my numbers so that they aren't so low. It may not work for you, but it might be something you can add into your diet every once in a while to see how it works for you.
  • I'm in the Dracut/Lowell area if anyone here wants to add me feel free!
