I think especially when it comes to meeting people in our private environment, we are more likely to dress as we feel and not as what we need to represent (doctor, nurses, lawers, judges etc), so the evidence of our feelings are more present. What I think of this post was first, how sad that you had the evidence of your…

Due to my nightshifts, my replies might be coming in with the new posts, but I keep reading them. For me this quote was really catching my eye: "our souls are more dazzling than cellophane" I really liked that. after running for 20 Minutes straight (big NSV for me) yesterday,I was looking sweaty near from falling off the…

A lot of things I should have learned from my own parents are now and in the not so long past teached to me by my mother in law! When I left home due to my parents divorce and all the things that were included, she taught me that sometimes you have to accept a situation and there are things that simply cannot be changed,…

Since I usually work at night, I do not put on make up and early in the morning (5 am) I am simply not capabel without sticking my eyes out. But I only wear sweatpants every now and then in the weekends and during house work. My husband does not get it. as soon as he gets home he is out of his jeans and in sweats. It is…

Sorry, got a bit caught up in things at home and was not able to reply earlier! Did some house cleaning and sorted out my books which I enjoy tremendous, but take up a lot of space. I try to get them in the digital version, so I still have them, but in a much smaller space! Well who am I kidding I clear out everything at…

Yup, prepare in the weekends and heat up during the week. Spagettisauce is good for so many things. goes with rice, too or maybe even for chilli depending on how you do those. Well that means you just have to put in beans, pasta or rice. Soup is always great :)

I was never able to stick to a menu plan on a diet or not and not with mfp around either. I do however make some soups or meals i can defrost if time is a problem!

Maybe you are not going to make it until Valentines, but hey, do not put too much pressure in those scale numbers! What is more important is, that you feel good on the inside! Seems that there are many in this group who are at war with their scales latly! As long as you do not give up on yourself, everything will be okay!…

Do not know who said those: If you want it hard it enough, you do what it takes to get there! If you still look cute at the end of a workout, you have not trained hard enough! When more comes to mind, I will post them!

Hey, good luck with the challenge at work! I will add you and we see, if we get along!

Hey, I send you a request along with a group here on mfp that might have some interesting reading. They already started, but the posts will come until valentines day and I know they helped me a lot, to get me in a good and positive mind frame!

Hey, good to hear, you had a good time at the gym. When I was there wednesday it was funny, we had a photographer running around to make a piece about new years resolutioners going to the gym, only when she was there no one seems to be new, all the oldies were working out!!! Sometimes a smile can really help or in my case,…

Hey that gym membership really seems to come in as rescue boat! Now you know you can do workouts without injuries due to ice, cold or anything that comes with the weather! I will sure check the detox list out. As for the burgees... My arms seem not really supportive of my weight. My nose hit the floor every so often that I…

I have that when TOM hits or I drink more water or the day after a harder workout. I try not to weight in on those days, tempt to jump on the scale every morning. start with every other morning, to get away from the scale, so you can still feel in control but do not weight in daily. Just a thought! I know how frustrating…

Uhm, I like the longer posts, this feels a little cut in half... well since it is cut in half. I know my late responses usually come from reading a post once and then I sleep over it and then read it a second time, to see if I have the meaning right (they are not hard to read, but sometimes I doubt my english, should stop…

Talk to him calmly while you still can, before you snap right into his face! Maybe he really does not realize what he is doing, but if he continues to do this after a good talk and maybe 1 (and I mean just 1) warning, throw him out, cause if he cannot be supportive of your health he can not be supportive in other things…

Oh I really plan to make this year full of things I have never tried or done before! There are so many things I want to explore foodwise and workout stuff alike along with personal experience and changes! I love the first days of a new year, so promising and fresh before us! When it comes the time around christmas all I do…

There are a couple of things I need to focus on this year. First is to stay on the path of health and head towards more healthier weight. I started the C25K on the treadmill and find now that I have a lot of trouble with it latley, but I will continue, just maybe a lot slower than this program suggests! And in spring I…

Every couple of weeks I hop on the scale at my gym. They measure stuff like muscle mass and water and other things my scale cannot. I do this, to get a more global picture of my weight loss and it helps me big times! So, if you have the chance to do this at a pharmacy or gym, do it every once in a while. Oh and do it under…

There is a ton of things I was thinking about yesterday, that still needs to be done this year and now we are only 14 hours away from the new year here in the netherlands. There is NO way I could manage to make all the things happen. So I simply shortened the list to the most important parts and said to myself: If anyone…

I think I need this as a background on the laptop, so i have a constant reminder! Thanks for sharing!

Sometimes when everything gets too much to handle a good cry really makes me feel better! Okay I may not look pretty when I sob and cry for a half hour straight, but I know afterwards I feel lighter and somewhat relieved. I know there are not much people who can understand it, but crying is also part of a healing process!…

Apparently my arms are like JellyO!:blushing: These blurpees had me flat on my face! As for the vegetable intake, I am getting there again and now I feel so much better! However I had a huge amount of exercise cals yesterday and was really tired, maybe I need to cut back in my cardio workout to feel better. Will look into…

well if you want accurate numbers in the gym and in the kittchen: hrm (heart rate monitor) and a foodscale! Eat throughout the day! I recently learned to eat breakfast before gymtime! (what a miracle I was not falling of the maschines by the end of my workout!) We all learn, maybe for you it is to go with a higher calorie…
