Love the topic name :) I absolutely adore pistachios and almonds, but unless I put them in snack sized bags (1 serving size), I could eat a ton of them. I never eat only nuts as a snack, I always get hungry if I do this. I've found that eating 1/2 serving in conjunction with string cheese/sharp cheddar stick and…

If I do get more than a basic salad, I usually order it without cheese or nuts, since those are the most caloric. Can you add shrimp or salmon to your salad? And dressing on the side, always!

I keep Skinny Cow Chocolate with Fudge Ice Cream Cones in my freezer, 150 cal and delish! Love the solid fudge part at the very end of the cone, makes for a delightful last bite. Or, 2-3 squares Godiva dark chocolate with sea salt (100-150 cal).

If I need a snack before the gym and I can't do a smoothie, I like string cheese w/ a handful of almonds or pistachios, maybe some grapes. Or half a Kind bar, saving the other half for after my workout but before I get home to fix dinner.

I'm not sure there's a "best" one out there.. But one that can switch between ounces and grams is helpful. As well as one that will set the scale to 0 (tare) once you place a container on it so you can get the true weight of your item without dirtying your scale.

Last week I made tuna salad and ate it on La Torilla 50 cal wraps with either arugula or diced cucumber. Tuna salad itself makes 5 servings for 89 cal each, 324mg sodium Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna In Water - 280g 250 Gulden's - Spicy Brown Mustard., 6 tsp 30 Aldi - Fit and Active Light Mayo, 3 tbsp 105 Earthbound Farm…

I schedule workouts ahead of time for the weekends to get myself moving, especially if it means paying to take a special class. Then if I don't go, I've lost not only my workout but my money too! You could also try to find a workout buddy, who will hold you accountable for meeting them at a certain time/place. I find that…

Definitely. My old gym offered this class and it is purely strength training, yet your heart rate will increase due to the pace of the class. If you enjoy barbell work, you will enjoy this class.

I love this one. It is vegetarian and health-minded. I am not vegetarian, but the recipes are very tasty. My favorite section is the soups, especially the herbed carrot soup! http://www.amazon.com/Moosewood-Cookbook-Katzens-Classic-Cooking/dp/1580081304

My bf swears by these bluetooth headphones: http://www.n1wireless.com/Bluetooth_Stereo_Headset-Motorola_S10HD_Bluetooth_Stereo_Headphones-_89439N.html?gclid=CIvgmvWH77ECFSdgMgodeyYALg I found some wireless ear buds on a deal site - Zonda brand - and I use them religiously. I will never go back to plugging a cord into my…

I absolutely LOVE "Kind" bars - super low sodium as well.

I have always had acne and currently take spironolactone (100mg/day) prescribed by my dermatologist. Even so, I find that if I don't shower within an hour of my workout, I get more acne on my face and chest. You could also try over the counter methods.. the tea tree or seaweed skin care lines that the Body Shop carries are…

YES alcohol counts! If anything, it leads to worse decision making later (i.e. oh look there's a food truck outside, let's get pizza/gyros/takeout/etc.) I started limiting my alcohol consumption when I realized it was doing most of the damage to my calorie intake. I now limit my drinks and have either corona light (99 cal)…

If you enjoy cereal, have you tried the Kashi brand? I'm a fan of their blueberry & oat clusters, strawberry fields, autumn wheat, and honey sunshine cereals.

I'd add a few carbs to your dinner - 1 serving of brown basmati rice, whole grain pasta, quinoa, whole wheat cous cous, etc.

Zumba!! Or any other dance type class. They're a lot of fun and time flies. Step & sculpt sounds like it could be a good cardio/weight training class. As with any choreographed class, it takes a few times to catch onto all the steps, so don't be discouraged! Pilates is also great for core/waist definition if your gym…

I made up my own exercise called "Zumba" and use www.zumbacalories.com to figure out approximately how many calories I burn depending on the level of intensity.

Yes, more protein and more food in general. Where in the world are all your fresh vegetables and fruit??

I don't know about sizing but after taking countless zumba classes, I find that pants are too restrictive. I would consider capris (either tight or loose).

I would try cooking more meals from scratch at home. I find any prepared meals/snacks I enter into my food diary are laden with sodium, but the items I use at home to make dishes are extremely low sodium. Soups - use chicken broth/stock that has little to no sodium and don't add salt to the recipe even if it calls for it.…

This one is a favorite of mine - I don't use as much olive oil as it calls for and I also use low sodium chicken broth. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/salmon-with-lentils-recipe/index.html

How do you turn down another drink when the person you're out with wants to stay/wants another? This happens to me every weekend - my boyfriend LOVES to go out and sit at bars just to people watch and hang out. I used to just order another and suck up the calories, but I recently decided I wouldn't do this to myself…

I always eat a healthy snack before going to functions. I limit myself to 1 round of the buffet if there is one. I also switched my cocktails to vodka + soda water + 2 lime/lemon wedges which is a better alternative if I'm in a setting which requires a drink in hand (only 70 cal per ounce of vodka, standard pour is 1…

Ditto on smoothies. My current favorite is 1 banana, 1 cup chopped kale, and 1 cup almond milk or regular milk. I also like Thomas' 100 calorie english muffins that I pair with either PB or a combination of 1 egg, chicken sausage, and bell peppers (I scramble the egg in a cup, add sausage and peppers, microwave for 1…

www.yogadownload.com has a bunch of classes and styles to choose from.. audio or video versions are available. I've done mostly audio versions w/ a pose guide and found them to be pretty good.

I completely agree! I get an organic/sustainable grocery delivery every 2 weeks (Green Bean Delivery, midwest) and I'm hooked. Conventionally grown food now tastes bland to me, especially fruits and anything on the "dirty dozen" list. Grass-fed beef is another new found love for me. Taste is so much more flavorful!

I like this website for meal ideas.. http://www.eatingwell.com/

Amy's products have a "light in sodium" line with some healthy frozen entrees and soups. http://www.amys.com/products/product-categories/light-in-sodium I also like to do 1 serving of tri-color rotini pasta with lots of veggies like broccoli, carrots, onion, peppers, cauliflower for a pasta salad with some light balsamic…
