Unless you are a phenylketoneuric, or you are ingesting literally BUCKETS full of aspartame, you are not going to be made ill by aspartame.

You're not setting your quantities correctly. If you had a burger, fries, onion rings, soda and a piece of pie, it should be WAY over 740 calories. You can't just select "fries" from the list. You also need to tell MFP how MANY fries you had. The best way to do this is by weight. Same for the pie. Same for the burger.…

you can also leave the aluminum at home. Soak them in the shucks for a little while, then throw them on the grill/fire. Dig them out of the coals in 10 minutes or so... peel back the shuck to use as a handle, and eat. I enjoy tool-free cooking over a fire... but I do mainly backpack camping, so I'm not lugging all those…

this. I hate cooked fish of all varieties. Love sushi, as long as the fish is fresh... there's no "fish taste" or smell.

Dumbells and Barbells. Ditch the machines, your body is the machine. Check out "New Rules of Weightlifting for Women" and go from there. Good luck, Hannah!

Braces can be a good SHORT TERM solution. Ultimately, though, they end up doing the work that your muscles and tendons SHOULD be doing. If a brace fixes your problem, you need to figure out a plan to stop using the brace. Usually strength training to stabilize the problem area.

You should run however is comfortable to you. The majority of runners use a heel-strike form, and without pain. if you went from 0 to 3 miles in one week, your pain is likely from using muscles and joints that you haven't been using. If you have pain after 2.5 miles, then you need to stop running at 2 miles! Then, SLOWLY…

I know it LOOKS like an Egg McMuffin... but that's NOT an Egg McMuffin.

To borrow from St Francis: "Preach the Gospel at all times. If necessary, use words." If he sees you doing... he might do. No amount of nagging/talking/encouraging on your part is going to make a *positive* difference. Refrain from telling him what he should do. Nobody likes to be "should-on."

8 months is more than enough time for pretty much anyone to prepare for running a half-marathon. If you're already running ~10 miles a week, you've got a GREAT base to start with. Look here for a training plan: www.halhigdon.com You'll continue to lose weight as long as you eat at a deficit. Weight loss has nothing to do…

If you have to lose 40 pounds in order to get the surgery.... why not just keep going? At that point you're already ~20% towards your goal.

Either dude is hungry enough to steal, or he sees those foods as "forbidden fruit" He needs to learn how to eat. At 7.5, he's completely old enough to have some freedom and control over what he's eating. He's going to learn how to eat by watching you, for the most part. Make sure he's got access to foods that are healthy,…

Probably because it was way more than a tablespoon of PB and of J. A real, LEVEL measuring tablespoon of PB is not even enough for a half sandwich.... at least in my sandwich world! :^) Like I said, you're doing a good job of logging the stuff, but my guess is that your portion estimations are off enough to be affecting…

No, for the most part. Dudes can get in a damn knock-down, drag-out fist fight, and then be hanging out the next day. Once you've let it go, it's gone.

As an example, go to your kitchen, get a measuring spoon, and scoop out one level tablespoon of that jelly you used on the PBJ sandwhich. Now,compare that to how much you ACTUALLY used. Do the same for the Peanut Butter. A PBJ with only one REAL tablespoon of each would be a SH!TTY sandwhich! :^) Same for the 100g of…

Any chance that you're more active now....so you have more opportunity to bruise, and you're moving with more vigor now so you're more likely to bruise? Just a thought. Also, if you're considerably more skinny... you've less padding now! woot!

Open your diary. The most likely explanation is that you're actually eating more than you think.

My guess is that he was talking about stronglifts.com, the stronglifts 5x5 program. OP, it's hard to say what the BEST program is. But I will tell you this: I'm 4 weeks into Stronglifts 5x5. I look forward to going to the gym every other day. It's EASY to stick to, it's FUN, and I can feel myself getting stronger. I've…

KA-BOOM! Great job!

I'm in week 4. I'm not even close to stalling in any of my movements. I'm 178cm and 87kg. I looked at a few 1RM calculators. They all use a linear formula for the most part. Some compensate for that by limiting the reps to 10. I don't really do any "to failure" sets at this point. So I'll have to find this thread in a few…

Jazzercize. No really. My mom had the ALBUM on VINYL. And the lady on the cover was wearing leg warmers. It's still around! http://www.jazzercise.com/

My best guess is "User Experience"

You're smart for thinking about it. I didn't. I got to college at 165lbs and left at 225 lbs. It's been a rough ride ever since. Stay active, and pay attention if you can't button your pants. There were plenty of guys around me that did NOT follow my same path. It's absolutely possible to maintain in college.

Love, love, love my Garmin. I enjoy multisport so I have the 310xt. Definitely a great tool and I'm a gadget freak, so it fills that "need" for me too. I love being able to track my runs during and after the fact.

If you enjoy it and you're not shirking any of your family or life duties... then I say go for it. My guess is that you might not be maintaining the right amount of nutrients and/or electrolytes if you're working out that long. You might need to find some sort of food that you can use to fuel these workouts.…
