This is the kind of story that you tell forever! Congrats to you (and your daughter) for making her day extra special. The benefits of a healthy body are never-ending.

No. http://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/nutrition/healthy-eating/the-difference-between-whole-grain-and-whole-wheat.html Sorry. ETA make sure to read the comments. It's not as simple as Whole Wheat=Whole Grain or vice versa. Lots of confusion.

Throw the scale away. You're obsessing over really small fluctuations in your weight. if you're hovering at 118... fine. That's on the low end of healthy for someone who's 5'7". Let it ride, find other things in life to think about.

BIG TIME FALSE. sigh. I've never cried to get out of a ticket.

I dealt with heartburn BEFORE my weight loss, but not after. I took Zantac (ranitidine) and it worked great every time! For me, trigger foods are: chocolate alcohol (esp Red Wine, but most others) Pretzels. Anything SUPER salty or acidic. Good luck, I hope it clears up for you. Forgot to add: Mine would get bad at night,…

It sounds like you're trying to return to the same level of exercise that you had before your injury. After a few weeks off.... you can't do that. You need to ease into it. Do the exercises you *were* doing, but fewer, with less weight and less intensity. Build back up until you're pain-free.

If you're employed, find out if your employer offers an EAP. (Employee Assistance Program) Most do. They will have a preferred provider that they will hook you up with. Usually for a set number of visits, then you can decide where you can go from there. You need to look for someone who is an LMHC (Licensed Mental Health…

let's just stop this one right here. Firstly, you didn't miss the "hot people" bus... you could be the bus driver. Just sayin. And I would suggest that maybe you've *always* been excluded, but that before, you didn't feel worthy enough to be included. Maybe now, you feel like you've "paid your dues" and should be included…

Real men like real women. For all values of "real." Real men like real men too. Just not "that way" for me... NTTAWWT.

Somewhere in the middle... at least for regular pancakes. It should pour with the same consistency as liquid soap, more or less. Thicker will make fluffier pancakes, thinner will make flatter. Again, not sure about your "science experiment" pancakes, but for regular pancakes, you pour the batter into a hot, oiled pan, and…

x2 on the diesel Passat.(or Jetta) Will hold its value better than any of the cars you listed, will be competitive from a cost/features standpoint, and will last a long time. I had a Jetta TDI for 11 years (2000-2011) and racked up 203,000 miles. Averaged about 45mpg over that time (with an automagic transmission, wife…

Go read the book "Born to Run" and then come back. Human feet are extremely complex machines. They evolved to allow us to jump and run miles without shoes. Even the advent of shoes "with support" is extremely recent compared to all of human history. Short answer: YES, you can exercise without shoes. Ultimately, it may…

As long as it is gold, silver or platinum, there's not much you could do to hurt it. You could paint it every color under the sun.... And then dro it in some thinner and it would look like new.

This is not true. Freeze if it's convenient, you're not losing anything by freezing. Or cooking.

This. Seatbelts are the best things to happen to bewbies since purse straps.

woo hoo! This was one of the first things I noticed as well, and man is it GREAT to not wake up in the night with heartburn! (red wine will still get me every time, though) Congrats on your NSV!

There was a lady that swam at the local pool at the same time I did. She was a little "off" but a really nice lady. We were chatting one day a couple of weeks after Daylight Savings Time took effect. She explained about how she was so tired during the summer because that "one less hour of sleep EVERY NIGHT" really took its…
