Having said that the ones that get me are the ones that makes sentences almost entirely in what I call "management speak". I swear on all things sacred when one guy finished talking at a meeting he and actually said " well, lets climb the foothills of change!" Frankly I nearly lost it - and not just me I may add!

"Do you have any annoying co-workers?" is like asking "do you breath regularly :-) I think the clue is if you don't have any annoying co-workers, it's odds on favourite that you're the annoying co-worker :-)

Hi Grace, I'm a cis man but feel free to add me if you want.

Gained 8lb over the last two months (and I know why),so i'm up at 183 I want to be 175 - my "normal" weight by early December.
-
Good stuff, but tell me - who's the other person in the photos? :-) Seriously though that's a sign of how well you have done! Same here I look at myself sometimes and think "this could be better / that could be better" then I think "listen you knucklehead! you lost four and a half stones (63lb)!!! and you now exercise…

I only weigh it before. If you look up calories it will usually say what the dry weight is and I've always found that works for me.

Well done! That's a great achievement and shows if you don't go for the "quick fix" (which, in my experience never really works) then the results last! Also all the very best to you on your up coming wedding! I got married just under a year and a half ago and its one of the best decisions I've ever made! Remember its your…

Ohh this could go on and on. Basically both camps have some degree of truth in them. If it was just down to CICO then the argument holds its the consumer that's to blame, but its so much more than that. Look at the money spent by big fast food companies on advertising, lobbying and promotions, there really isn't the same…

What Donners185 said!

It's no big deal. You either adjust your other meals, or you exercise a bit more, or just accept it was a little mistake and carry on as normal the next day. "ruining" your diet takes constantly failing to eat to a calorie deficit / not exercise, one slip up does not a diet ruin.

You have got to be kidding me!!! Well done you that is totally amazing transformation!!

Hello from Scotland! Pleased to meet you! Add me as a friend if you want. Also I love Canada - my profile picture is outside Casa Loma in Toronto :-)

Actually, one more thing I forgot about. Around 4 weeks ago I DID notice someone, it was a young guy, about early 20's working with a personal trainer, he clearly had problems with his legs and had crutches. The only thing I though was "so here am I moaning internally about my treadmill run, and that guys just getting on…

How about I share what I did: I started by walking for 10 minutes a day (just to get into the habit of doing exercise every day) then I upped the time to 20 minutes a day, then walking faster, then jogging after I lost about 21lb THEN I joined a gym; because I knew I was serious about changing my relationship with food and…

Lots n lots of great advice on here! I find that a lot of this comes down to how you think about it. I went from having three slices of white bread and cheese a night - after all the food I had during the day - to, at most, a small bag of light crisps. It took me ages to re train myself to accept hunger signals as…

Yup I'm from the UK, Glasgow. I think someone mentioned it before but there are UK based groups you can become a member off in here. It is mostly USA & Canada and most of mf friends are from there, but that's not a bad thing. Feel free to friend me.

Its true - people don't like change, so stick with what is comfortable to you. One thing though BMI is notoriously bad at giving accurate weight ranges. Someone could have a lot of lean muscle weight and yet in BMI would still be classed as obese. There are other ways of measuring your correct weight range. The one I use…

youd have to weigh the butter first. As a rough guide a thin spread is about 10g, but I mean a THIN spread of butter, I usually find I use more on toast - that's why I use Marmite instead - most of the time anyway.

Funny how different expressions mean different things across the world :-) "Ghosting" in Glasgow Scotland means to take a dump in the toilet, but it glides through the water making no sound, and when you turn around there not a trace of it in the toilet bowl :-) Hence the often heard expression in Glasgow " I just did a…

What an utterly inspiring story and the photos! Wow! You didn't half turn it around, well done!

Yeah what Idle_Moon said. Its just one of those facts of life - you have a observance that will affect your weight then just factor that in and accept that's part of what your individual observance of Ramadam means. Then when it finishes go back onto your usual diet and exercise.

I'm from Scotland but I have relatives in London ON. Love Toronto and Canada!

Dam you look awesome! well done!

Yeah, sounds like you either need a new battery, or a new set of scales - how long have you had them for? Also I only weigh myself once a week, but I do move the scale to three different spots to make sure its not on an uneven surface. But even doing that It still shows the same weight.

Glad to hear you’re going to give it a try. I've been vegetarian for 17 years and for a lot of that time I was really overweight. It’s only when I ate sensibly (still vegetarian mind you!) and did regular exercise that the weight came off and my health got better. And while I'm here can I clarify one thing? If you’re a…

BMI is the problem in my opinion. According to it I'm still overweight, which didn't feel right to me so I researched it. BMI is good for "general" population averages, so I stopped using it and I use High to Waist Ratio instead and guess what? I'm in the "healthy" weight range.

This isn't facebook pal, so I'll leave it at that.
