I have to say that sounds like a really unhealthy weight loss regime. Plus you'd have to have the will power of a saint to stick to it. You really dont need to eat that little to lose the amount you want to lose.

Thats a great story and very inspiring thank you for sharing and well done!

Yup, I do "cheat" days - but as little as I can. It keeps me motivated and I find that when I actually look at it, my cheat days are nowhere near the amounts of food I ate when I didnt watch my food intake, But it now feels like a "cheat day" because my "normal" diet the rest of the week seems to have trained me to expect…

Dont weigh yourself multiple times through the day - as BombshellPhoe says you'll drive yourself nuts! I weigh myself every Tuesday morning first thing so i'm weighing my body weight not what I ate or drank! I dont weigh myself again till the next week. As long as your working in a calorie defecit (around - 500 calories a…

What Logg said, you're doing great but keep your discussions about weight loss to MFP. People on here generally know the score and can give practical advice from experience. I know that if my old mum was still alive she would tell me to be happy whatever weight I was because she loves me. However, if your overweight you…

Seriously man chill out your 18 not 80! Also you'll find women of all ages respond to being considered as human beings and not a "category". Treat women with the same respect you'd be expected to be treated with. If they reciprocate great, if they snub you move on. As a matter of fact that’s actually a great way to treat…

Pretty much a combo of all the above advice. Plus I read recently that the Buddha once said "when someone insults you it's like they are offering you a gift, you can choose to accept the gift or to reject it". I'm no Buddhist and I’m not religious but I recognise good advice when I see it. Having said that don’t let people…

I do good until Thuirsday and its nearly the weekend, then I start thinking about a nice cool beer; which isnt the problem, but once I've had a drink all of a sudden I need, NEED food.

Absolutely amazing! Well done and what a journey you’ve been on! A real inspiration to me to keep trying! Thanks for sharing your story and pictures!

I get my back waxed on a regular basis and yeah it hurts, a little, but not so much it puts me off. So if I dont find it a problem for my entire back i'd imagine the "pain" for the area your discussing will be bearable.

Even the strongest person would find that stuff difficult! I take the odd little jibe about my weight but it’s good natured, what you seem to be getting is not like that at all! Firstly - protect yourself. You’re making the effort; you're making the change so well done you! I have found that people that constantly berate…

I'm not watching it as a protest at the way Russia treats its LGBT community. A great pity as I enjoy the Olympics but there you go.

Guys, tons of great advice! Thank you all, I will be looking into all these suggestions and applying them. The cheese thing is interesting and your probably right. I do eat a lot of it and I really have to find a way to cut that rught back to a managable amount. Thanks again folks! Gordon

Gotta Say SaintGiff is bang on the money! Eat healthy food get rid of those shakes: they have their uses, but for the amount of calories / fat they contain you could get a nice healthy meal instead which is far more satisfying. I came to the conclusion that weight loss is basically a simple premise: Eat healthy, eat at a…

Excellent Ideas and good to hear from someone who actually does it and works around issues like bad knees. I'll have to think of what I used to enjoy and get back into that.

At the end of the day the equation is simple: eat fewer calories (however you count them), exercise more = weight loss. Now the hard part – willpower. I have trouble with that part believe me I do but I find it best when I count my calories and have the 80% / 20% rule – 80% of the time I’m good which means – occasionally I…

Hi, Im from Glasgow and I am doing the same thing but with the added bonus of being a proper vegetarian, feel free to add me.
