I don't know numbers but i know eggs, greek yogurt and meats are great sources of protein. I also eat a lot of those and i feel fuller longer so i'm a big fan of high protein diets

Luke, I know I keep harping but c'mon man, eat breakfast! If you have a few(too many if you ask me ) of those granola bars in the morning, count it. I don't like to see you eating until dinner and having tons of snacks.. keep that metabolism going all day

Good food choices, however i'm not a huge fan of frozen dinners. I feel like you would lose weight if you stick with that plan, however, i'm just another person on here who's trying to figure it out too... You have to see what works for you through trial and error. Plus, you will drop some weight in the beginning because…

I agree, use one scale. Place it on hard surface and weigh yourself at the same time each week. The one at the doctor is probably more accurate but if you use the same scale each week then you will have a better idea of actual results.

I'm not an expert by any means but I like high protein foods Egg whites, greek yogurt and lots of chicken. Also eat 100% whole wheats for breads and pastas. I also don't go to the gym but I have a app that traks my steps and I use a stationary bike at home. I don't really understand TDEE but as long as i'm under most of…

yes, I've said a few times "sure i'll have a cookie, I lost 3 lbs this week" and if I don't lose it does motivate me more.

leslie sansone "walk away the pounds"/ walk at home videos.. you take two steps up and two steps back... otherwise it's in place for the most part. (and it's not marching for 30 minutes, it's kinda fun actually)

Yes, I do it every week. I lose about 10 calories at a time but since day 1 I've dropped 360 calories. I think everyone should do it, it takes two seconds to hit update.and it's gradual so it doesnt' hurt anything, I think...

he doesn't drink that much and probably burns more then he drinks but it's the logic of a man I guess that I dont' understand
-
he's thinking that what he drinks will be pretty much wiped out by his earned calories but I think it's kinda ... stupid...
-
Thanks everyone, I'm pretty happy and excited so I wanted to share and inspire maybe? good luck in your journey too

My total loss for the month was 5lbs.. 1lb a week when you think about it. It was a very frustrating month because I was bouncing between two lbs most of the month but this past week I dropped 3 for a total of 5 I will not be joining another group like this because I put too much pressure on myself in the beginning of the…

I love her! She's kind of like that crazy aunt that you kind of laugh at but then again, love to death... I have a few of her dvd's and I use them on a fairly regular basis but I also ride a stationary bike and walk with out the dvds on. The rutines are easy and kinda fun too. I always use my arms to touch toes or pull…

Sue, I know exactly what you mean. I started this journey saying i'm just going to lose some weight and see how it goes, keep going until I feel good enough to stop. I slowly lost pound after pound and hve lost over 40 lbs so far.. i'm pretty happy with that. Then, I saw a "lose 10lbs in August" challenge and since I…

just wanted to say way to go everyone! keep it up, seems a lot of us can make it!

no change in weight week 1... need to refocus my goals I think and work harder next week.. downfall this week was definitely food. and with my birthday this week we'll see how terrible this week is good luck to those who gained or stood still, congrats to those who lost this week
-
Been pretty much on track so far. today was a bottomless pit day but my choices were relatively healthy. i'm debating weighing myself tomorrow but may just do it Saturday, which is my typical dday.
-
sometimes there are just weeks you stay still... it's better then going up and if you pay attention and work a little harder I feel like I lose more the next week then I was expecting. good luck. don't beat yourself up, plus, it's still the beginning of the month.
-
done.. I was really set then started and was tired and I wanted to stop but I didn't and finished my leslie sansone 30 minute workout. let's see how it goes tomorrow:)

I'm going to change my start weight. the thing is I went on vacation last week and the scale said I gained three lbs but today I lost 5.5 since two weeks ago so i'm going to act as if the 3 was a false reading and say I started at 174.5 and lost 2 lbs today to begin this month. kinda sounds like reverse cheating, since I…
