You're doing great Lulu! I started off at 164.0 at 4 weeks. I'm 7 weeks now and down to 163.2. My weight was as high as 166.4 just this past Monday, so I think our weight is going to fluctuate a lot. A more realistic goal for me would be 180 at 40 weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to lose it much quicker this time around.

I know me too! My husband bets I'll pass the 200-mark this time around. I'm determined to prove him wrong. I went in with my first child at 182, my second at 185. I was hoping for 175 or less this time. I've seen some posts from pregnant women in the forums...some of them only gained 5-10 lbs their entire pregnancy. I want…

Good luck at your doctor's appt!

I'm almost the same weight as you. When I first got a positive pregnancy test, I was 164.0. Today I'm 166.4. So that's up 2.4 lbs in 3 weeks. I'm kinda freaking out since I only want to gain 9 more lbs...I still have 33 weeks to go, so not sure how that's possible :ohwell:

Oh no what a bummer! I'm also going to a new doctor this time around. When I called them to tell them I'm pregnant, they booked me for a pregnancy class first on November 5th. The class is supposed to explain how their office works and get us acquainted with the doctors and midwives. Then on November 11th, when I'm 9…

I'm too nervous to work out right now. Other than a home pregnancy test, I haven't even really confirmed this pregnancy. My first doctor's appt is on November 5th and my first ultrasound is scheduled for November 11th. That's why I decided to put the working out on hold for now. Once the pregnancy is confirmed and my…

That may be true! I think it's a mind over matter thing :-)

Not sure about the running, but I am dealing with morning sickness myself and it sucks! My husband bought me a PsiBand today from Walgreens. There are two bands that you wear on your wrists to alleviate morning sickness. So far it seems like it's working. You may want to try it!
-
Thanks Amy! All my co-workers here know that I'm pregnant and feeling nauseous. I actually had one of the nurses put the bands on me so she could make sure to put it on the right pressure point. They really don't show under my long sleeves. Hope you feel better as well!

I'm so sorry for your loss. My mom had 7 miscarriages / stillborns, so I know how difficult it can be to lose a baby. The minute I found out I was pregnant, I stopped exercising. Besides walking, I am not undertaking any strenuous exercises at all just to be on the safe side. I'm only about 6 weeks now and haven't had my…

I just told my mom today over the phone. Couldn't wait until I see her in 2 weeks. Her answer was "I already knew you were." Mother's intuition...

I've been so sick these last 3 days with morning sickness that my daily calorie intake has been 1,000 or less. I'm allowed 1800 by MFP for maintenance. What's amazing to me is that my weight hasn't really changed at all this week even with the decrease in calories.

I'm experiencing the same Amy....sore breasts...along with morning sickness and vomiting. The thought of foods I loved to eat just last week make my stomach churn today. I'm worried that the lack of calories will cause damage in my pregnancy, so I've contacted my doctor to see if she can prescribe me some anti-nausea…

I think they're similar to restless leg syndrome. I remember having that with my firstborn. It's not fun!

Ugh I'm hating this morning sickness. I haven't vomited at all today, but the nauseous feeling is there. I hope I can keep my food down today :/
-
Aww that's a cute idea! I've actually told several people not in the family. I had to disclose it to my co-workers and manager as soon as I found out because I work in the Radiation / Oncology department at the hospital and certain patients get treatments that make them "radioactive" for a few hours. I felt it best to let…

I set my MFP to maintenance, which bumped up my calories from 1400 to 1800. I am also about 20 lbs overweight, so I'm trying to stay around 1400-1500 calories daily. I'm also not exercising, so I don't want to consume too many more calories than I am used to. I decided to keep a log on my phone to keep track of my…

Yes definitely get as much sleep as you possibly can Amy! My "sleeping in" on the weekends is 9 AM and that's only if the hubby agrees to let me. I am a napper during the day (which I can't do while working)...but I'm only working for another month. My last day is November 22nd. I am looking forward to staying at home…

Weight gain! I gained about 8 lbs since August and no matter how hard I worked out, I couldn't lose the weight :/ I'm taking a break from heavy workouts until after my doctor appt and ultrasound....just to be on the safe side.

I understand completely Amy. There's a lot more to prepare when it's your first. Good luck!

Wow, congrats everyone! I'm so excited to meet others due around the same time as me. Although this is my third child, I've totally forgotten what it was like to be pregnant :ohwell: I'm looking forward to sharing my experience with everyone these next 8 months or so. Feel free to add me if you haven't already. By the way,…

Born in London, grew up in Virginia, now residing in Illinois. My parents are from India

First time around I did it in 44 minutes ( I was 3 months postpartum). My latest was 35 minutes.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about your fall. That's a really scary experience. I used to faint a lot in high school and college when I was doing extreme dieting to lose weight. I agree with what everyone else said. Try to find something you can keep down and then just eat enough of it until you find something else you can…

Wow that's amazing...only a 4-lb weight gain in 37 weeks? I don't think I'll be that lucky :ohwell:
-
Thanks you too!! Btw, are you going to find out the gender beforehand? I'm keeping it a surprise :blushing:
-
OMG how exciting kcasey! Good luck. Praying for a speedy pain-free delivery and healthy baby :-)

Wow, I didn't think there were many women left who believed in non-medicated births. I had both my children without any epidural. The first one was an 8 hr delivery and the second one was 5 hrs (I'm hoping this third one will be 2 hrs or less  ) I am also considering a water birth since it is being offered at my…

OMG he is just adorable!! Do you know when they first let you get a 3D picture....which month? I never got them with my other two kids, but I'd love to get one this time around.
