I'm 5'6" and 56 years old. Started at 230 and now at 143. I'd like to lose another 7, but not sure if I"ll make it. Exercise almost everyday, (even with knees that need to be replaced) and started doing some weights in August. I do exercise videos, bike riding, elliptical, whatever strikes me. It's all gotta be low impact,…

Give up impatience with my husband.

Outstanding! You, sir, are a true inspiration.

Blizzard, no question!

So very wonderful! What a great victory!

Your inspirational story is helping to push me to lose my last 7 pounds. I've been getting sloppy about it. Congratulations on your fabulous victory

Oh, definitely. It only makes sense--I no longer have a "blubber layer".

Hi there: I was in the Air Force for 24 years. Sending my good wishes for your success. Here's a few things that I need you to know as you start your journey. Losing weight to join is only the first step. Many people that I've known have had to lose weight and have done so. They did a good job of maintaining through basic…

Beautiful before and even more beautiful now! You are truly an inspiration. Happy new year to you and your lovely family.

Thanksgiving to New Year's Day - 1.8 lbs. We also had a cruise in there, and I drank a lot more booze than usual. Recommitted to a half pound a week and I posted my gain on progress so that I can see what I did

I have hypothyroidism as well. As long as I have the right amount of replacement hormone, I do just fine with weight loss. Make sure that you get your blood levels drawn regularly. Let your doc know that you are trying to lose weight and want his/her help with this

I'm another "oldie but goodie". LOL. Be sure that you record every bite of food. A heart rate monitor wil keep you honest about calories burned. You can definitely do this!

Astounding transformation! Congrats!

Diet, if the only goal is weight loss.

This is on post! This has always existed on military bases, at least since I've been in (since 1980, now retired). I think it's perfectly acceptable.

A very solid 9! So pretty and wholesome looking

Hah! 4500 is for amateurs; I could do that with breakfast, plenty of adult beverages, munchies throughout the day, and appetizers even before dinner is served.

I strongly recommend developing a weekly food plan. Sometimes you can find these on line; I buy one from emeals.com. (There's usually a Groupon) Figure out what you are going to eat for the entire day before you eat breakfast. Leave nothing to "chance" except when you have a ton of calories left for the day. And even then,…

No pics, but I will say that it is harder to accept an average body when there are ads (even on this website) advertising "plus sized" clothing that starts at size 10. I always thought that size 10 was average. On the Patagonia size chart, they list size 8-10 as "large"

Grand Funk Railroad (Yeah, I'm old!)

Hear, hear! Well said!

I am so happy for you, especially the part about finding how to be healthy! And, for you, the side effect of healthy is "gorgeous." Best wishes always.

Baby, It's Cold Outside -- nothing says Christmas like a guy spiking his girlfriend's drink and telling her that "what the use in hurting my pride" as she tries to reject his lecherous advances. Christmas Shoes Santa Claus Got Stuck in My Chimney (when he came last year). Really, did the composer think that anyone could…

Pistachios Trader Joe's Joe Joes Nutella and Peanut butter (just shovel both right onto a tablespoon and into my mouth) And I will eat an entire bag of White Castle hamburgers if they're available. Absolutely no restraint there at all.
