With the url title, this article is meant to be a joke, isn't it? If not, well, it's still a joke.

1972 Chevy Vega, baby! Bought in 1976. Had a cool light blue stripe right down the center of the front hood. It used as much oil as it did gasoline and was in the shop was much as it was on the road. What a gawd-awful hunk of junk..

You're my kind of people. Hey, hops are a grain, right?

"You can't....." These words always motivated me. I had to prove she was wrong and that basically, I could achieve ANYTHING that I wanted, as long as I was willing to work hard. And so, I achieved all my educational and career goals and married the right man to boot. Thank God nothing was ever handed to me.

Nope. My hubby is thrilled for me, and now he is totally committed to losing weight as well. He lost 9 pounds this month alone. At 62 years old he's looking pretty hot!

I started at 230. I like to mix up my exercise. At first I did a lot of elliptical, about 40 minutes/day. Then I added stationary bike and walking. This summer, I bought a bicycle and have been riding that. I go to Zumba Toning once a week. On days when I don't bike, I do stretching and work with 3-5 lbs weights. I have…

As a healthcare provider with a heavy patient load and responsibility for teaching medical residents. I usually worked 12 hour days. During my last year, I worked 14 hours a day. I ate lunch at my desk in under 5 minutes. There was never a break. I grabbed junk food just to get quick jolts of energy. When I came home, I'd…

Absolutely, positively 100% this!

You look absolutely amazing! What an inspiration to see you looking absolutely beautiful covered in mud. Congratulations! I was also at 232 when I started and just made it into the 150s this week. Seeing your picture inspires me tremendously.

I'm 55 and also need to get both knees replaced. Waiting for my husband to retire next year so that he will be able to care for me. I find that biking, elliptical and seated chair workouts help a lot. My physical therapist reminds me that "Motion is Lotion." He is correct. My knees feel much worse on days that I don't…

Just health. I'm too darn old to worry about my looks any more!

I'm 5'6" and weigh 160--pants/shorts are a size 12. Top are a medium. I have a very thick waist and am still an "apple"

You're doing so well! Motivation is the key and you have found yours. BTW--Love your shoes (LOL--I have the same ones--comfy, aren't they?)

This is one of my favorite breakfasts! I use the Complete Aunt Jemima (1/3 cup), and add blueberries. My secret ingredient is a dash of Lemon Extract, which I stir right into the mix. Is there anything nicer than lemon and blueberry? Love your user name--I was an XXL'er at this time last summer.

Stress eating at work; drinking wine to relax at home; not planning any meals. Eating lots of processed food in large amounts.

Oh, I love it! I would treasure every moment of that. I'd smooch that sweet face every time I came up off the floor. A chocolate lab, right?
-
My Labrador, Grace, get so excited when I pull out the free weights. She velcroes herself to me as I'm working out with them. Both my Labs lay right next to me when I'm on the stationary bike or the elliptical as well.

You are a strong and beautiful woman. Congratulations on your stunning achievement.
-
You are truly an inspiration. I started out approximately the same place as you.

LOL--My ancestors are all of strong rural Eastern European stock. I'll never be a size 0! Size 10 will be about as good as it gets, and even with losing 30% of my starting body weight, my legs are still tree stumps.

I'm 5'6", but as old as dirt, so the days of 120-130 are gone. Shooting for 139, cuz that sounds better than 140!

I am so bad about this. Last month, I put my scale in a travel suitcase in the garage. I was much happier. Then, for some stupid, inexplicable reason, I brought it back out. Why, why, why? ITA with @onwardownward's comment that it's about wanting results immediately. I need to bury that scale in my backyard.
