  • If you are exercising the way you are, I honestly think you aren't eating enough. I'm 5'9" and I work out several days a week and I eat somewhere in the area of 2000 calories a day and I have lost 20lbs like this. I realize everyone is different, but try adding 300-400 calories a day. Your diary looks AWESOME! There are…
  • Aww, how exciting! We'll be here to motivate you!
  • I use chia seeds in conjunction with my diet. I add them to smoothies, oats, yogurt, on top of peanut butter and apples. I haven't used them as the main star of any diet but good luck!
  • Breakfast is by far my biggest meal of the day, especially if I work out before hand. I guess it's good to remember that everyone is different. But I know very few people who make it a point to eat a good healthy breakfast who ever complain about having trouble losing weight and having enough energy to make it to lunch…
  • I'm sharing a link to a recipe that is my GO TO for on-the-go! I have 3 kiddos too, so I know what you mean. Now, most days I can get by with a small handful of almonds and a piece of fruit until my 'real breakfast' but some days I know that if I want to eat, I gotta eat now! SO I keep these frozen and on the mornings I…
  • And I guess I meant to direct this post towards those trying to lose weight. If you're not concerned where your metabolism is at then I suppose this doesn't apply.
  • You sound like me! I sometimes do the bars especially when I'm on the go with no time to cook. I'm lucky though because I found a local resource that makes these great homemade energy bars with all recognizable ingredients. I've tried making them myself and they end up pretty gross. But your meals sound just like mine!
  • I'm not vegan, but I am vegetarian. Only for the last week and a half though and I've been to her site for months. I made her 'reeses' peanut butter eggs and OMG. So good. Seriously, I don't think I've ever made anything of hers that I haven't absolutely loved.
  • Love it! That sounds pretty awesome. I slice a banana INTO my oatmeal while it's cooking. I also add some chia seeds, which adds bulk and fiber without a ton of calories. The banana sweetens the oatmeal and sort of melts right into it. To this you can add whatever, cinnamon, honey, walnuts (my fave!), cottage cheese,…
  • What about quinoa flakes? A slightly different texture from oatmeal and you can definitely do that in savory ways with herbs, etc.
  • Try a 1/3 of a serving of oatmeal. It actually goes together very nicely! And 1/3 of a serving is still quite large and is just bout 50 calories. Add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup to the whole thing and a dash of cinnamon and you'll come in just about about 165-170 cals.
  • I'm a brand-spanking new vegetarian. Going on a week with no meat. Working on cutting back on dairy and cheese as well (trying to limit those calories to around 5-7% of my intake. I would LOVE some support on this!
  • If you don't eat enough to maintain health and support muscle repair (from that exercise) etc, then your body will burn muscle and not fat. If you have TOO big a deficit (let's say your basic burn rate from just maintaining your current weight is 2000 calories and you burn another 700 calories through extra walking and…
