Hey, I'm 31 and trying to lose 23 pounds (well, 20 now). I leave my food diary open because I love it when others do so I can get ideas from what they eat. I've got a not-great weekend, but I'm back on the ball today. Feel free to add me!

^^ This. If I know I'm going to want a cheeseburger for dinner, I work it off with exercise (or most of it) in the beginning of the day, and am really careful about breakfast and lunch. That way I get my cheeseburger without feeling guilty. I wouldn't think a cheat "day" is a good thing, but instead one cheat meal.

This is a good idea! Too bad at the moment, I'm just a little too upset with her. Perhaps when I get over it, I can start finding things she and I can do that don't involve drinking or eating.

Thanks for the advice, and kind words. I'm very happy that I found a place (this site) for the support I can't get at home. I like her, I do, and she was my friend before we started living together, but right now, she's not a priority, because I'm putting my health first. Thanks again!

Dang it! So close! I'm June 18.

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to hear today :)

Definitely trying this! Yum!

This is one of my favorite snacks in the winter! But my favorite plastic food are Nathan's hotdogs, chilidogs especially!

June 18, but my sister already shares my birthday, as does my aunt. Maybe I'm looking for a quadruplet? :ohwell:

Hi all newbies! I find this site helpful, and I really like it, especially the support and motivation from everyone. Feel free to "add" me as a friend! :flowerforyou:

Just remember to log in everyday. It helps as a daily reminder and becomes a part of your life! Good luck! Add me for support!

^^ What she said!^^ The exercise is to get fit and energetic. You can be thin and still not fit, unless you work out. The food and exercise help each other out.

31 here! Need new friends too! Add me if you'd like :flowerforyou:

I try to make it to the gym three times during my work week, but I know I won't make it most of the time if I wait until the afternoon. I try to go in the morning, so I set my clothes out the night before. Sometimes my body just knows it's almost time to get up and I'm waking up 10 minutes before my alarm. That's when I…

Chicken parm and fettuccine alfredo, never liked them. Oh, sour cream and chocolate ice cream, but I can put away a lot of vanilla.

I've done the 3-day cleanse twice over the last few months, anytime I feel absolutely bloated from the food I'd been eating. It works very well, if you follow it strictly. After two days, you feel more energized and just all around better. It also discourages you from wanting to eat junk again for a while. Downside is that…

I feel more awesome because I actually did it. More things would get in the way in the evening, and it was too easy to find an excuse. So unless I had a rough night of sleep, I get my workout done by 7:30, and I laugh that I won't need an excuse after work :)

I was eating an apple as I read this, knowing that I would likely get hungry soon. It's happened to me all my life, and it's kind of annoying, especially since I don't like my apples with anything added (PB, etc), but I really like them.

Definitely saving this for later!

That kind of injury does set back a lot of people. But coming back from it will be worth it. And now you know how girls feel like around some guys... they seems to just stare, point and say "boobs." :)

Welcome to MFP! And mmm, cupcakes...

I was terrible about going to the gym. I would have to convince myself to do it a bit at a time. I'd tell myself to walk over (two blocks away), and if I didn't want to go in, I could go home. But then, I'd walk over there, and convince myself to head to the locker room. Once I did that, I'd convince myself to put my stuff…

I'd recommend what this guy ^^^ said! Learn to eat better on your own, instead of a program that tells you what to eat or makes the meals for you. It's how I had to learn. I've recently been putting on mad weight, but I had to realize that it was all up to me and what I ate. Made me think about food more often, but at…

I pound mine flat and wrap them around stalks of asparagus, season them with a little salt and pepper, and then wrap two strips of center cut bacon (lower in calories and fat) around the chicken, and bake. They're so good...

Hi there! While I'm not a mother, so I don't know what it's like to carry pregnancy weight, I do know what it's like to be in certain situations where you think you have the perfect excuse to eat anything you want. I'd love to help in any way I can. I was on Weight Watchers for nearly a year and lost 25 pounds, which I've…

I'd love to join this, as well as read your blog. I'm excited for you, and for all of us. May 19th is my nephew's birthday, so it's the next time I'll see my family, and I'd like for them to be impressed with me. I'll take a photo of myself later today :) Thanks for the invite!

We can all agree, Eagles suck! And many thanks to the Giants for losing to the Ravens that helped put the Cowboys in this position.

Thanks, Siavain, for posting this. I also get migraines 3 out of 5 times I work out (and once every two or three weeks regularly). I'm glad everyone responded with suggestions, and I'm going to try taking magnesium supplements to see if that helps me in the every day.

Ha! No one believes me that nobody hates the other teams/fans of their division quite like the NFC East. Romo's been choke-less for a few weeks now, but I know old Romo can come back at the worst time.
