  • Is ground flaxseed permitted during cycle 1? I thought that just the oil was.
  • Hi, guys! My name's Ashton and I chose this "diet" because it's not really a diet; it's a plan that creates a lifestyle change, which actually makes sense! You learn how to eat, and I desperately need to. I have a sick & sad history of being unkind to my body and very unhealthy. I need to filter simple carbs. and refined…
  • A group of us on here started on Jan. 1. Despite what people think, it's actually not low cal (or in a dangerous zone) if you're eating what you're supposed to. Most of us have ranged from about 1,100-1,400 cals. a day. Good luck! I'm on Day 6 and have lost 3.2 lbs. I haven't cheated at all and I feel so energized,…
  • Josh was such a bully! I loved Kimberly!! <3
  • I'd be interested! I attempted a few months ago. I stopped on Day 3 of Week 5; the dreaded 20 minute run. C25k doesn't do a phenomenal job with moving the scale, but it does a heck of a job with toning and dropping inches! Current weight: 147 Mini-goal weight: 139 Overall goal weight: 130 I'll be starting next week.
  • I was discourage with the number of calories that I burned also; however, after doing it, I toned up a lot more than if I would've have spent the same amount of time on something that burns more calories (like say on an elliptical). It's worth a shot. Give it at least 3 weeks (I did it 5x a week) and if you don't notice…
  • Everyone is doing such a fantastic job! No one stress about being on a different week as anyone else! The goal is just to complete the c25k program, regardless of how long it takes! Keep up the awesome work, all you runners! : )
  • Hey, everyone! It's great to read about the progress that all the c25k members are making! I know that some seem to be a little frustrated that the e-mails aren't coming through to the gmail account. Trust me, I'm saddened by it, too. I have yet to figure out why, but my only guess is that they maybe get filed amongst the…
  • I'm a texture person and a very picky eater, but I love, love, love Greek yogurt. It's an acquired taste, but have it in the house to eat and you'll never want regular yogurt again. It keeps you very full for a long time. I've tried every brand I can get my hands on, and the best tasting ones (in my opinion) are Chobani…
  • Hello, everyone! I've sent the updated spreadsheet for every week so far. I'm getting ready to leave my parents' home, so once again, I will only have limited access to MFP via my phone. Remember, I can read what you're writing, but I cannot reply! : ) Keep it up; this will all be so worth it in the end!
  • Hello, all! I am indeed still here and still participating! I just moved into a new home and for anyone who can relate: how exhausting! I still do not have internet access, but I'm hoping to have it at the new home this week. With my phone, I can access the site, post a status, add to the food diary, and read my messages,…
  • Hey! Don't be too hard on yourself! I'm sure that there are plenty of us that had a little more fun than we had anticipated. Today's a new day to start fresh; let's do it!
  • I think it's safe to say that we all had a pretty busy holiday weekend. I only had 11 people send me every bit of information that I needed to add to the spreadsheet. If you did not receive the e-mail, please send me a notice to: c25kteam@gmail.com As a friendly reminder, you need to have the following information included…
  • After reading all of this, I'm thinking we're all having positive things to report! My co-worker read that if you have to do two consecutive days, it is okay. The article did say to avoid three consecutive days at all costs, though. GOOD LUCK AND KEEP IT UP! Awesome job, everyone. We are the best! : )
  • Vitatops aren't cake, but they're like healthy brownies (more fiber than an apple and all natural). Something to kick the sweet craving: http://www.vitalicious.com/
  • Everyone is doing such a great job on his/her journey; keep it up because we're all proud of you! I've sent an e-mail to each person that e-mailed me his/her information (username and pre-c25k weight). I've added 21 usernames to the spreadsheet and I've sent the e-mail to 21 people (so hopefully everything is correct and I…
  • I'm so proud of everyone; we're doing great! Keep the positivity a'comin. Also, I will send an e-mail to everyone that I have added to the list by tomorrow evening. No fear, I will not (not now and not ever- I'll only be adding weight % changes...Biggest Loser style) include your weight. Keep on keepin' on, Ash
  • Triple chocolate chunk vitatops...an apple disguised as a brownie! : )
  • Guys, I am so, so excited and proud! We have 18 people committed to our group at this very moment! We're great! My thoughts: *Losingit- I'm envious you have to wear two bras...donate some to me! dontstopnow- You are so positive; I love having you in this group! kate- I read that even if you want to go more, you should only…
  • I have to agree with rfcollins. I feel like when I give it 100%, there is definitely noise to be heard (such as with the jumping jacks, jump roping, butt-kicks). I saw some major progress with my arm/shoulder definition. I use it about once a week (doing it consecutively for 30 days was a bore). Happy shredding!
  • Try the Morningstar veggie burger line. They have GREAT tasting flavors. I recommend the spicy black bean and the tomato & basil pizza flavors! Like eggs? Great protein source, there!
  • I think that the app just uses it as a general rule of thumb. It's not unsafe to lose more per week as long as it's not due to starvation/overexercising!
  • *UPDATE* I had to switch the team's e-mail address from c25kteam@YAHOO.com to c25kteam@gmail.com Apparently I'm not smart enough to figure out how to actually send the messages rather than having them saved as tabs (on yahoo). Hey, but after teaching all day, who does have a brain? I'm keeping the yahoo account so if…
  • I can feel your pain. For 6 years, I measured my self-worth based on a number on a scale (with multiple daily weigh-ins being the determiner for how I felt about myself at any given time). Starting this week, I am vowing to weigh myself only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I don't want to throw out/hide the scale…
  • I plan on using the treadmill because I'm afraid that if I go outside, I won't keep up any sort of steady pace. Plus, I personally like to watch the timer because I can countdown the time. Also, I feel really accomplished when I can accurately (as much as possible) see how much I've burned and how much I've traveled. But,…
  • Hey guys, we just started a c25k group this week (it only requires 3 days of commitment). Search couch 2 5k...start today
  • Yes, feel free to e-mail me whenever you want with your weekly update (I just established Sunday as the deadline so that I can send the spreadsheet on Monday- to keep us all motivated). We have 8 people so far!
  • Well, you'll be getting an e-mail from me weekly with the updated the results; and we've all agreed to help motivate each other (especially if the 6 of us- and counting- see that there's a blank space where your updates should be). We can and WILL do this!!!
  • Absolutely. I plan on e-mailing the spreadsheet once it's done each week (hopefully I'll have everyone's results by Sunday night and I can have it done and e-mailed on Monday) to every person that's on it (6 of us so far- awesome!). Kait will also post the spreadsheet on here- I think that will be a great motivator for…
  • "think it is because a few years ago I was ALWAYS thin and now i can put on weight. " I think that's a very difficult adjustment to make. Pre-college, I never had to count a single calorie (I was actually so active that I took weight gainer). However, during my first semester of college (after gaining weight), I began my…
