You are probably right, but where I live we're walking on packed snow or ice for almost half of the year. It's great for practicing crampon technique, but I figured running in those would be difficult, lol. Maybe if I come across a treadmill for cheap i'll do that instead.

Thanks! I'm totally getting some!
-
Thanks! I just looked these up, and I think I'm going to order a pair. They look great, and are only $45. Cheaper than a new pair of shoes for sure.
-
HOLY CRAP!! Lol! But why? I mean, it's amazing to watch, but a broken bone seems like one second away!
-
Thank you!

Ooh! Thanks! I had a pair of those the winter I was pregnant.. They worked great! (for waddling anyway, not jogging., lol). I gave mine away. I'll have to pick up another set. Thank you!
-
That's what I did with these ones. They fit great, and all my pain is gone. It's the snow/ice issue that I'm dealing with now. I really can't afford another pair right now, so I hope I can make these work.
-
Thanks, you're spot on there. I could easily fall into that trap, I do like seeing all those numbers, lol.

What if you do 2 mins of cardio (like jumping jacks) in between each set? Would that be considered circuit training in the mfp exercise database? I know I'm jumping into a *kitten* show thread here, I'm trying to learn about strength training and legitimately curious.

I like Italian dressing. Sometimes for a change, a little fat free mayo and pickles. I eat it either by itself, or on a piece of toast.
-
Wow! Yeah, not for me either.
-
Yes, fat is a good insulator. Look at the Eskimos!
-
Lol! I guess I deserve that one!
-
Canned tuna is always a win for me.

Whoa, her knee bends backwards. Crazy!
-
Thank you!!!!

Cool, thanks! I must sound so dumb, but I'm new to strength training, and when I think weights, my mind automatically went to barbel style. I found this lonely guy at a thrift shop for $1, I figured it could be used for something,

Thanks so much you guys! :)

I say do it. If you are really out of shape, every little bit counts. Sometimes I stand in front of the tv and do squats, Or jog on the spot slowly. I use the commercials for timing, I try to last until the ads start again, ect.

For me, it depends on their story. If they have already lost 150 pounds, I would value their advice over someone who was always thin and never had to work at it. Well, maybe not value advice more, but relate more, if you know what I mean. But unless you know the history of the person, it's impossible to know that, and very…

It's my choice to turn on the tap.

I had to stop for two days because of my lower back as well. Thanks for the tip re the lunges. I'll watch my form next time. I'm hoping to do my workout after my little one goes to bed.
-
Update- My lower back is bugging me now. Crap!! I hope it lets up by tomorrow.
-
Thanks! I love doing plank.
-
I didn't know squats worked abs & back! Thanks for the info!
-
Thanks everyone! I forgot about plank. The worst ones for me are the ones that work the lower abs. I think they are called reverse crunches. It sucks though because that's my biggest trouble spot.

I'm in! Tomorrow is my weigh day. Should we post in this thread?
-
Amazing! I want to use that second pic as my screensaver.. Lol!
-
I'm using 1.5 pound brass ducks. Smh. I'm hoping to get some real weights soon, but man.. I still can't make it through the whole thing without stopping. Maybe it's a good thing I'm starting low.

Good job!!
