I hate running. But I LOVE all the smiles I get when I cross the finish line. And I REALLY LOVE the medals. I race for the smiles and the medals.

I wanted to add my voice to the chorus. Fiancee needs to bring in a paycheck. In the 90's I worked my way through undergrad with a parttime job, and I'm currently working my way through graduate school. It can be done. It won't strain him unreasonably, and it will relieve a lot of the pressure on you.

I was nervous with my first one too. Then I was panicked when I realized my Turkey Trot was 5 miles and not a 5K. Yikes! I laughed when I crossed the finish line. Nothing to it. I've done several since then.

A guy actually pulled out his phone and photographed my behind. SMH. I'm glad most of my workouts happen outside the gym.

I don't have gym anxiety. I just don't like the gym. I, therefore, do the vast majority of my workouts at home or outside. I've discovered that I like cycling, inline skating and cold weather runs (so different from running in the summer months). I invested in the insanity workout, and only use my gym membership for group…

The month is almost over. Still, at the beginning of September, I set a goal to only eat pastry that I baked myself from scratch. Although I love baking and do it more often than most, I didn't bake enough to eat pastry everyday. That alone is an accomplishment.

"You must be the smart one." This was said to me throughout my childhood and always after the person had spent several minutes fussing over my brother's beauty and athleticism. I would smile quietly and wander off looking for cake.

I'm 5'4", and my goal weight is 160 lbs. The last time I was 140 lbs, my doctor panicked. It was way too small for me and I was maintaining that weight by exercising everyday and eating every other day. I'm going to be realistic this time and do this the safe and healthy way.

It's not really child friendly, but when I can't be bothered with anything elaborate, I go for a bowl of brown rice topped with diced tomato, black beans, red onion and avocado. It's kind of a deconstructed burrito. It doesn't sound like much, but the flavors combine wonderfully.

I'm very fond of Brooklyn Brewery.

LOL. I actually got caught looking once. It was about 20 pounds ago. I was on my way home from a pilates reformer class and dressed in my workout gear. The lady was so nice about it. She noticed me looking, and I don't know what she saw on my face, but she smiled, pointed to her rear and said, "I got it from running. You…

I eat at the office too. This morning I had a whole grain english muffin with almond butter and a sliced banana. The flavor combination was delicious.

Wow. Way to inspire a crowd. You look great.

I'm playing Naughty Bear. I know it's nothing like my normal gaming habits, but the plushy carnage makes me laugh. Laughter is important.

For some reason, that worries me too. It's never happened, but I always make sure my boobs are quite clear of pinch range. I can't believe I'm admitting to that. I'm also afraid of worms. I know they can't hurt me, but they still creep me out. I don't like things that slither. <shudder>

I'm new to this site, but I was well over 200 lbs when I started this journey. I'm down to my last 45 lbs and, I would welcome supportive friends because I'm losing steam.

I love that response. After I lost the first 30 lbs, everyone suddenly knew what was best for me. They scrutinze everything I eat and know exactly what workouts I should be doing. I think from now on, I'm going to smile, thank them, and keep it moving.

Keys to my bike locks. I never bike to work (too dangerous), but I always seem to have the keys on me.

Good luck and have a great run!
