The principle of losing weight was exactly his point. He is correct. Finding a way to fit it into your life (regardless of age, family stress, discovering life, battling food disorders, whatever) is everyones job who wants to be healthy to figure out. I am busy, everyone has stuff to do, that wasn't the point. OP great…

THIS POST IS EXCELLENT!!!! I started doing the exact same thing, then over time my eating habits got better in general. Kind of like a snowball effect. However, the whole cals in vs cals burned thing WORKS! I had this battle last night w/ my fiance because he lost 16 lbs and is stuck. He doesn't count cals, eats basically…

So I was checking out this thread to get some inspiration when I noticed my profile pic! haha I never really noticed how much my face has changed. So... here is my pic!!! This was a 50 lb loss.... I have since lost another 11. Go me!

I have one boy, 20 months, 2 dogs, and I work full time. I log everything and schedule in workouts... literally they are scheduled. Me and the hubby (more or less lol) trade off... he goes mon/weds I go tue/thurs after dinner... weekends we either get a sitter or trade off. Plan ahead and you will be fine! Edit**See the…

I found that roasted chick peas fix my salty/crunchy cravings pretty well. I wing it but this recipe is pretty close to what I do! http://www.chow.com/recipes/30368-spicy-oven-roasted-chickpeas Make sure you dry the heck out of them!!!!

You look (and must feel) fabulous!!!! Congrats!!!!!

This is a great point!!! I think I'm conditioned to the intensity.... which is controlled by me. In all fairness, I didn't give you facts. I take an instructor led kickboxing (not cardio-dancy kb) class. I can only do so much w/ an instructor led class. Which is why I joined a gym so I can fully control what I do and fully…

I'm on a plateau(ish) now and I kinda agree w/ #2. I have been busting my *kitten* and I'm kind of stuck because my routine isn't working for me. I am actively changing it cuz I need to smash this next 50 asap... but recognizing that the plateau is kinda self-created is half the battle. I'm too conditioned to the workouts…

I got a used one from a friend of a friend last summer for free. I started running (jogging?walking? haha you gotta start somewhere) with my son in this jogging stroller. It didn't take long to get used to it, and it was worth getting a used one to try it out. I found that I like the swivel AND fixed wheel feature... I…

I stopped drinking soda 7 months ago, so when that happened I couldn't figure out how to drink lol My go to was bacardi and diet. I HATE vodka, which would be the obvious first choice, so I just stick to rum. I love rum, so ef it..... My go to is flavored bacardi and soda water. It's definitely not the best choice, but if…

Well realistically it could be totally wrong, which is why I don't eat back the calories. I personally just like to keep track of things like this from an activity level perspective not an "I'm gonna eat back all fake 1500 calories I just logged cuz I chased my dog for 10 minutes" perspective. It has worked for me so far.…

I have logged things like that. Although, it is kind of controversial on this site. It all depends on your activity settings. I have mine as sedentary because I work a desk job, so I log things like this. I don't eat back my calories though. I just like to track my activity, so can understand why people want to log this.…

I love the last line in the article! "Stop whining and push through those last few reps."... So my style!

Bone Thugs & Harmony with Slipknot and ICP..... together.. at one concert! (I couldn't make this up if I tried!) That was an interesting crowd. Excellent people watching lol

^ This! I say start w/ a 10 or 15lb. I started w/ a 15lb for turkish get-up's and I struggled the first bunch of times. I probably should have started w/ a 10 to get my technique right. 20 lb weights are probably more appropriate for 2 arm exercises. It can't hurt to buy a few of them right?!? (well except for in the…

Thanks Tracy! You can do this!!!!!

I actualy took this as a compliment!!! Because I am tall, and my weight is kind of carried evenly, I hide it well lol When I was 175 I was still in a size 12 pant size.... I appreciate the compliment though!!!!

Thanks everyone!!! After putting the pictures together I do see the difference. It's funny how sometimes you just can't see yourself. Thanks for all the words of encouragement!

So this has peaked my interest. I was checking out some of these posts and I feel like mine is kind of low... any thoughts? I do have a large frame and I'm pretty muscular, but I feel like the percent should be higher. I held that thing (idk what it is called.. BMI analysis thing) last night, w/ my trainer helping me, so…

^^^ That is what I mean. haha That's awesome that you are able to control it. I was so out of breath for a long time til I was able to control it. Again, good job and good luck!
