I did HCG (as did my MIL with me). Indeed, I was never hungry following the diet and taking the injections, however she and I both put the weight back on and about 20 extra lbs afterwards....even following the "phase 2" and "phase 3" or whatever. Totally not worth it. I'm here now, and this is forever sustainable.

Yes! I was logging something yesterday and on the barcode scan there were two options in the database already. One that said "______" and one titled "______ *correct version*". I clicked on the "correct version" first to compare and.....it was SO NOT CORRECT. Luckily the other version was correct. But dang!

20.6 lbs and no change in pant size. They're a smidge looser, but not much difference yet.

Spread on crackers for a snack OR A wedge on a piece of whole wheat toast, with a scrambled egg on top :)

2 tats..... one on my right shoulder blade (my first) and a tramp stamp. I know, how cliche. I had an industrial that was my baby, but couldn't have the barbell in (only studs were acceptable) during clinicals in nursing school and it just got to be so much taking it out and putting it back in multiple times a week. I had…

Oooh, sounds TASTY! I just got some stuff to make smoothies (and actually have all of this stuff on hand), so I'll have to try it soon!

Yes and no. A woman should be healthy. Some women's natural figures are without much, if any curves, and that doesn't make them less of a woman or wrong anymore than being a blonde haired and blue eyes would make me "wrong". Healthy healthy healthy's where it's at. That being said, currently I'm fat. Started at 290.6 and…

It can make depression worse in those who have a mood disorder. -http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/0006322393902518 And....since I started having some neurological symptoms, I've had more than a handful of people ask me if I use artificial sweeteners, saying that it can cause neurological issues. In my…

I've been having the same problem most of this week. I've had a TON of stress, but I've always been a stress eater so this is really weird. I'm kinda force feeding of pretty much anything that sounds good. (I had absolutely no urge to eat after I hit 456 calories - 224 for exercise.....) Go figure today was the first day I…

I second (or third or fourth, or whereever I am in line) C25k. I've ALWAYS been exactly how you described. Even as a little kid, who was incredibly fit and could do everything else cardiovascular without a problem. But I gave c25k a shot and sure enough that worked for me!

Fabulous (and very personal and meaningful!) NSV!

Not often. Mostly because I'm not THAT hugely into it, and the only way I really like it is with about 3-4 tablespoons of sugar plus 1/4 cup of flavored creamer. Or one of the foofy drinks from coffee-houses which real coffee people probably don't even consider to be coffee  Sooooo in summary....1- I never got that…

I agree. Especially as you've communicated with him about this, and he continues to do so.

I think people can be too quick to use them, when perhaps they don't need them. Generally things are better absorbed from whole foods. Sometimes -- for a variety of reasons -- a person cannot get enough though. I personally supplement with B-12 because I have trouble absorbing enough from diet alone, and developed…

If you're breathless for the entire session, I'd say you're challenging your body so I'd say yes. I'm not sure if your doctor told you (and if you already knew, my apologies for saying it again), but with COPD, just plain breathing requires more energy than a person who does not have COPD. Therefore just breathing, sitting…

It sounds good! I mean, I hate celery, and I'm not sure I'd want the craisins for chicken salad personally, but this is definitely easy to adjust to personal taste. Thanks for sharing!

Exactly! Starting at over 290 I could've safely cut more with a goal of 2lbs/week, but I chose a goal of 0.5lbs (knowing that I still have some wiggle room to go under calorie-wise, if that's how the day flows) so that I had a better chance of meeting my goal and not getting discouraged and giving up because I "failed".…

Exactly. Look up the physical side effects of anorexia. Even if not anorexia nervosa, ED-NOS can have a lot of the same things depending on what the person is doing. My gf was down to an unhealthy 80lbs (on a "big" day) at 5'1". She never technically was considered to have anorexia by the diagnostic criteria as her menses…

150. I'm starting in the upper 200's though, so when I get closer I will reevaluate.

Apparently when Bobby is having a day, he doesn't play! hahaha But seriously, sorry about your crappy day too Bobby :frown:

Sorry you had such a bad day. I had a horrible one as well. I took care of the necessities and have been a lump in my recliner since I got home.....I'll probably go to bed early, so I can be well rested and tomorrow will be a new day.

When I was in nursing school and did my geri rotation, we were not able to eat at the nursing home so it was either pack or go out. We chose subway a lot, and my instructor who has Celiac Sprue always went with us and just got it all on a salad rather than bread. Not the same, I realize, but.....something to consider :) OP…

I saw the title and came here to say you rock! After reading it, I love your attitude :) And also, thank you!

Eh. I don't think she's terribly pretty, but not ugly either. Personally, I think she's average looking.

As a nurse, I completely and utterly second this. It makes me very uncomfortable that people may do this. Honestly it sounds like it's time to call your doctor. I'd guess that bloodwork will likely be done, but that will of course be your doctor's call. Hope you're feeling better soon!

3 grandparents and a grandma-in-law dying (one of whom had a HUGE hand in raising me.....my maternal grandpa who was more like a father figure in some ways as my dad wasn't ever really in the picture. I sacrificed my job to care for him, and am currently unemployed :frown:), my MIL dying, and then the icing on the cake was…

Actually from my personal experience, not 100% true. I took it twice. The first time I'd have a McDonald's Value meal for Lunch and a Taco Bell combo for dinner, and I was fine. The second time I actually followed the low fat crap that it said to, cooked at home, etc and I ruined all my panties with grease farts (and....I…
