Love it and ditto. I want to be healthier for life, but I also want to look amazing in my wedding dress and in my bathing suit at my bachelorette party!

You definitely don’t want to go ridiculously over, but don’t stress over it. I always go over my sugar amount, but the majority (and sometimes all) comes from natural sources like fruit or raw honey. I don’t allow myself to get caught up in worrying over those sugars, within reason. I wouldn’t suggest eating five pounds of…

I hope you like it! I love with it everything. Salads, avocados, drizzled over all kinds of veggies...endless possibilities. =)

Are you feeling well enough to maintain your exercise regimen and other daily activities? Are you receiving enough vitamins, nutrients etc. with your 1,000 calories? If so, it’s not my place to judge the amount of calories you are eating. Just make sure you take care of yourself! In regards to the question you…

I do but I don't. I DO try to ensure I don't go WAY over my suggested calories (especially on a cheat day or for a cheat meal). However, I don't worry terribly about it, especially if my calories are coming from raw foods. I'm not going to freak out if I ate raw veggies and fruits the majority of the day but my calories,…

If you want to be extra healthy but provide your body with something easy to digest, try making some raw dressings. For example, raw ranch dressing: http://www.therawtarian.com/raw-ranch-dressing-recipe Though I am a BIG fan of Greek yogurt, our bodies don't digest dairy as easily as it does raw ingredients. Maybe try…

Lol, I thought it was funny. It did make me laugh, and you were technically correct. I don't monitor my protein too terribly closely because I haven't found a need to. My energy levels are high, my hair is growing like crazy, I haven't had any muscle issues since I've started working out etc. If some of that changes, I'll…

Technically I suppose it is not a milk, but it is referred to as nut milk. I personally find it's a great substitute for cow's milk. I use it for baking, cooking (sauces, soups, etc.), pairing it with granola, coffee, tea etc. I genuinely like the taste. I have yet to use it for something and been unhappy with the results.…

It may contain more calcium, but can our bodies absorb all of the calcium equally to the vegetable sources? Based on some research I’ve done, the answer is no. But I’m not an expert. Just trying to educate myself and become a healthier and happier me.

EVERYTHING he said. If you really want milk, drink nut milk (I make my own; it's not hard and it's very tasty). Even goat's milk is better for you than cow's milk; our bodies break it down more easily and absorb more of the nutritional value from goat's milk.

Lara Bars can be a bit high in sugar, but the good news is it's natural sugars from the dates, fruit etc. I'd personally rather eat something higher in natural sugars than something with additives, preservatives etc. But again, that's my personal preference.

I love chips and crackers, too, so I was happy when I discovered kale chips. It’s a great way to get your greens and still satisfy that craving for something salty and crunchy (or in my case, spicy, too). You can make your own or buy them, but I highly suggest freshly made kale chips when you have time. I also will…

It depends what the reason is you want the bar for. That being said, Lara Bars are really the only kind of "pre-packaged" bar I eat. The ingredients are natural; no preservatives or heavily processed junk. The apple pie bar is my favorite. It is a great snack or treat, and I love that the ingredients are also raw!

They absolutely could be the cause. What are the ingredients? If they contain “fake sugars” and other processed ingredients, your body can’t recognize and break them down like natural foods. That means they turn into waste your body can’t or is having difficult digesting. Waste equals weight, so they could be creating an…

"Busted" by the Black Keys. Shuffle is treating me well so far this morning.

When it comes to sweets, here are a few tips (I don't always follow them, but I do the majority of the time): Don’t: -eat processed foods or use processed ingredients (this includes white sugar) -eat fruit after a meal (it can ferment your food and digestion takes longer) Do: -make your own desserts (then you know EXACTLY…

How much and what were you eating before? If it was a lot more calories and/or processed foods, then it's no wonder you are seeing quick results. If you are eating more natural foods now, that could also be why you are experiencing dizziness and/or headaches. Your body may be detoxing. If you don't believe the quantity or…

Part of the reason Insanity was not for me was due to the strain on my knee (I had surgery when I was 15 due to cheerleading, dance etc.). I tried it for a short amount of time, and my knee swelled up painfully. I may go back to it after I have strengthened it with more basic exercise, but I'm not there yet. Right now, I…

First off, I am not a nutritional expert by any means. However, I have lost 20 pounds (in a 2 ½ month time-frame) without exercise and without starving myself. I am now exercising some, but only because of the motivation I have found from losing weight from changing my eating habits. I highly suggest you read this book:…

Weight tends to fluctuate a few pounds daily, so try not to be too terribly discouraged. That being said, keep a few things in mind: 1. Since you are working out, you are likely building muscle. You may be replacing some of your “fat” weight with muscle weight. 2. Are you weighing yourself around the same time each day? If…

A few suggestions from a Texan and a lover of Tex-Mex: If you are going to eat chips, count out the amount of serving/s you want to eat and put those on a plate. Push the basket of chips to the opposite end of the table, or ask the server to simply take it away. Avoid tortillas and cheese if possible, but load up on salsa…
