Congrats on your big achievement!!

October goal: 250km Did 10km this morning for a total of 30km for the month.

I got in 10km today which is my first run since the 50 miler I did last Saturday. Aside from some toenail issues, everything else seems to have recovered pretty quickly from that race.
-
I'm in for 250km/155 miles. The race I had been training for all year was this past weekend; as of right now I've got nothing on the horizon and can't register for any of the races I want to do next year. I'm feeling lost lol.

Ahhh I fell really short of my September goal, it looks like I'll be finishing this month at 270km/168 miles. I'm not going to be too hard on myself though, I made it through training injury free and successfully completed a 50 mile trail race on Saturday. I didn't have a time goal, just wanted to finish before the cut…

Counting doesn't necessarily mean restricting food or eating at a deficit, so I'm not sure what kind of a break my body would be getting? I've been counting for nearly 1100 days; within that time I've had lots of days where I've eaten healthier foods and many other days where I've binged or eaten pure junk food. I count it…

Running!
-
On training runs of up to 20-25km I don't usually bring anything. If I'm running more than that I'll bring some water and maybe some food (depending how much more). During ultras I start drinking fluids right away and sip just about every km; I eat 100-150 calories every 45 minutes.

I find that trail running shoes have more grip than road runners so that really helps on snow and ice.

I've been out as late as 1:30am and left the house as early as 3:30am. So I'll say that between 1:30am-3:30am is definitely too late to be out running :p Seriously though, days can be so busy; sometimes late nights are the only time I can fit it in.

I took a rest day yesterday and got in 10km this morning for a monthly total of 93km out of 400km. Definitely normal! Some days I can run for 3 or 4 hours with no problem and others I struggle through every step of a quick 5k.
-
I haven't checked in lately, but at the moment I'm sitting at 51 miles/83km for the month, only 317km to go!
-
Not sure how to enter that, but wow that sounds like a fun run!
-
If you can run 1-ish mile (sometimes 2) then you can already run 3 miles, you just don't realize it yet. Just slow down, get out there and do it to prove that you can. Running is a big mind game.
-
You don't need to do more than 20 miles before a marathon. At the moment I'm training for a 50 miler and I'm not going too much farther than that on any single run (I'm just running a lot of them).
-
I only got in 10km late last night for an August total of 343km. My goal was 350km so I came up a bit short but I'm not going to be too hard on myself, that was my highest month to date :)
-
This week I did 13.5 hours of running. Normally I average anywhere from 7-9 hours/week depending on where I'm at with my training.
-
I'm in again! I'm aiming to do 400km/250-ish miles this month. I'm running a 50 mile race on September 26th so as long as everything goes according to plan and I'm still feeling strong, I've got about 2 more 100km+ weeks ahead of me before I start tapering.
-
Congrats to everyone on a great month and lots of miles run! I did a 20 miler on Saturday and 10 miles yesterday for a total of 333km/207 miles for August. My goal was 350km so I've got a bit of work to do tonight :)
-
Got in 5 miles last night. Total for August is 168 miles / 271km.
-
You're going to go through lots of ups and downs along the way. I'm 3 years in, 100lbs lost and I still have days where I revert back to my old ways. Try to make at least one conscious good health decision every day. Whether it's taking a 15 minute walk when you don't want to leave the house or not going back for seconds…
-
I did a 2nd run last night (10km/6.2 miles) for a total of 26km yesterday, which brings my August total up to 262km/163 miles.
-
16km this morning for a total of 157 miles/252km this month. 98km to go for August.
-
I guess it depends on what your goals are. I can guarantee that after a 4 hour training run, I'll be needing way more than a 150 calorie snack. I always eaten 1500-1700 to lose and 2000-2200 to maintain plus I eat back every exercise calorie. After 3 years on MFP including 2 years of maintaining a 100lbs loss, it's worked…
-
I did 36km this weekend for a total of 236km/146 miles. I've got 60km planned between Sat & Sun so I should be on track to reach my 350km goal this month.
-
I got in a 5km training run with my 7 year old son last night, then after we got home I quickly put him to bed and went out for another 14km. He's running his first 5km this weekend. Actually, now that I think about it, it'll be my first 5k race too! That puts me at 200km/124 miles for August with150km/93 miles to go.
-
I personally don't ever see myself 'graduating from counting calories'. As of next month it will be 3 years since I started and at this point it's just routine. Even after 2 years of maintenance, logging food and keeping an eye on my calories is sometimes all I have to bring me back when my eating completely falls off…

10km yesterday morning for a total of 181km in August. I'm going to have to take a rest day today since my husband is out of town and my kids are too young to be left of their own. I've still got 169km left and after today 13 days to go.
-
22km today for a total of 171km/106 miles in August.
-
30km this morning for a total of 149km/93 miles in August.
