PCOS symptoms were becoming unbearable with my weight. Had to lose it to help lessen the symptoms.

I have had a 'cheat day' every Friday since I started my healthier lifestyle. I went from 175lbs to 144lbs. :B So, yeah. I don't understand these forum posts. If you don't like the idea of "cheat days" then don't have one. Simple. This works for me, everyone is different, blahblahblah.

I'd wanna say 6 months, give or take. I started at like 175/180ish. I was kinda half-assing it the first 3 or 4 months though because I didn't really change my diet until a few months ago. Probably would've come off a bit faster if I'd done the whole working-out/dieting thing at the same time. But ah, well. Made it there…

I'm doing Insanity as well :D
-
These are my results, made a lot of progress since. Insanity is definitely helping me out as well... much, much worse then the shred though, lol.
-
I second this!

I always listen to pretty angry stuff when working out. But the one I've been listening to a lot lately is "2012" by The World Alive, god that song makes me want to punch someone in the face, hence awesome for my workouts.

There is no trick, it's just determination and being sick and tired of being sick and tired. Good luck with your goals. :flowerforyou:

I second this. I'm on BC for PCOS (and have been since I was 17, 21 now) and since I'm watching what I eat, never been an issue..

I'm here burning ALLLL KINDS OF FAT. Freaking love the HodgeTwins. Gonna be making some GAINS.

Waist trimmer (which actually do work to a certain degree) and cardio!
-
Oh me, me! I'm a metal head! :D

Loved those articles, thanks for the info. I already use coconut oil every day for cooking, now I'm pretty glad I do, lol.

I do this as well! I'm low carbing for my PCOS and I'm on a tight budget so, I tend to eat the same things (eggs, oatmeal, tuna), not everyone can afford a wide variety. Eating the same things is convenient and HAS worked for me very well! Broke my plateau in the second day of it, was very pleased. :)

2nd Best: My friend today, actually, lol. She pulled on my loose jeans and said, "Time to go shopping, starting to get a tad loose!" 1st Best: "Now THAT'S a figure!" - My boyfriend when I pulled back my oversized t-shirt to show him how much I'd lost. Worst - "You need to stop, you're getting too skinny." My relatives…

I also have PCOS I wanted to go on Metformin for the longest time but I never got around to asking my GP about it. But it seemed like working out and eating right really helped with some of my issues. Just wanted to wish you luck with your health and weight and hope that you can, at some point, come off of the drug as well…

I've been doing low carbs for the past 3 days (I have PCOS) and in those 3 days I've lost three pounds, so for some people it is, in fact, very beneficial and sometimes necessary to be healthy. But if you're not dealing with a insulin issue, I'm pretty sure it won't be needed. It all depends, as you get custom to hearing…

Hodge Twins hands down. Now I have to go watch them, brb.

Welcome! We're the same height and around the same weight, (I'm147), you can add me for support if you want! :)
-
I wish I could help! All I know is that losing weight has definitely helped massively with my own PCOS skin issues, I wish I had more to offer then that. Best of luck to you, dear!

They should make a "whiners forum" on MFP, where you can post your complaints about how others go about losing weight and how other people's cheat days effect your life directly. Seriously, stop whining. People's "cheat days" have no effect on your body or your weight, so mind your own damn business and sod off, bro.

Feel free, I'm on here every day as well. (:

Yup.

Yes, I am only human and I allow myself to have what I want in moderation. I try to log when I go out to eat, which shall be tonight. Already logged my calories for it.
