I think you really have to try all the options and figure out what works best for you, and what you'd stick with. I ADORE my Zumba classes. That said, it took a bit of experimenting and trying out different classes around my town before I found my preferred Zumba instructor. I've now found my go-to place and have been…

Thanks! I think he's just so handsome. And he's a total goof. He LOVES playing with water and follows us around meowing when we water the plants. Squirt bottles don't work as a behavior deterrent because he'll come back for more! Also gets excited when we get out a banana (but has no inclination to eat it) and begs for…

Yay kitties! Unfortunately I'm allergic to "normal" cats, but I am able to be around Siberians. This is our Siberian cat, Yuri, at 3 months old: He's now just over a year and already pushing 15 lbs, the beast. I have more pictures in my FB album of him:…

Hi all! I'm Trish and I live just outside of Bellingham, Washington. I suppose you could say I live in Goshen or Deming, but the zip code says Bellingham. So here I am.

Hi, I'm Trish! I have another 50 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight of 130 lbs (I'm 5' 3"). Did a bit of yo-yo-ing this past year, getting down to 167 lbs and then somehow stopped tracking and have gotten back up to 180. Looking forward to getting back down to the 167 from before and then continuing on to my goal weight.

Several glasses of a friend's homemade sparkling water with a fresh lime squeezed into it (yum!), and a couple of glasses of various sparkling ciders.

Thank you for commenting and serving as living proof that it can be done, to those with a little or a lot to lose. Big hugs to all of you! PS: I shared this with my friends on Facebook. Hi from Bellingham, just south of the Canadian border in northwest Washington State!

Sweet potatoes tossed with a bit of olive oil and thyme, and roasted to perfection! Have also come to love cilantro and make homemade pico de gallo whenever I have a chance. And my new favorite dish is some brown rice with a bit of peanut sauce, topped with shredded cabbage, grated carrots, grated beet, and some finely…

Oh trust me, it works! You start walking around with those bags and you're like, "Holy cow! I was carrying this much weight around with me?!" It's a real eye-opener, especially for those times when you don't feel like you've gotten very far and don't feel like you see a difference in the mirror. The bags don't lie!

Let's see ... - having my husband pick me up and twirl me around - doing a photo shoot with my husband, or maybe a pregnancy one when the time comes - getting pregnant! - going shopping and finding cute clothes without as much effort, and no funny bulges - not having my thighs rub together as much, therefore letting my…

My current favorite is Swiss 721 -- very clean and sleek. For web uses, I usually stick with Verdana.

I love Oh She Glows! A lot of the items on this post are on my "to make" list: http://ohsheglows.com/2010/10/03/project-food-blog-challenge-3-luxury-dinner-party/ One of my favorite things EVER are the chickpea cutlets from the Post Punk Kitchen (Isa rocks!), with smashed potatoes and mushroom gravy. And if you make the…

Curious as well -- are we talking all carbs or just the bad, processed stuff? Vegan here, too.

Just a 30-minute ride for me for 8/23. Not much energy left after an hour of Zumba.

I'm in for 8/22 -- 60 minutes and another 16 miles. Time for some stretching. Anyone have some good stretching tips to target primary biking muscles? I'm doing your typical hamstring and quad stretches, and pigeon pose (if anyone knows that one) to keep my hips loose. So far the only muscles that are getting sore are the…

60 minutes and 16 miles for 8/21, still on bike trainer. 563 calories from an hour of biking plus 585 calories from an hour of Zumba ... equals 1148 calories burned and one wiped Trish! Oof.
-
I'm in for 8/20. 8.6 miles in 30 minutes, a little over 17 mph average. Still on the bike trainer, but going to try to get some road time, this time around.

Yep! Post the date and time you rode each day, and Octo will keep track and post a daily list of everyone and their ride dates and rest days, so we can keep track.

Count me in, again!

OH YES! That describes my in-laws exactly! *sigh*

I'm in for 45 minutes / 11.5 miles for 7/24. Yay!
