Chobani, if I am getting pre-flavored. Oikos and Fage are good, too, and yes, Siggi's skyr. (And it's not Greek-style, but yes, Chocolate Underground is amazing.) Usually, though, I get plain Greek-style yogurt (Chobani or what's on sale) or cottage cheese (Friendship brand lowfat, whipped; cheap and high-protein) and add…

Length, no; sanity and coherence, yes.

Two thumbs up!!

Ever since I read that Sumo wrestlers traditionally have packed on the pounds by exercising on an empty stomach, then eating a high-carb meal, then taking a nap -- lather, rinse, repeat -- I have tried to avoid that pattern!

A little box of raisins is supposed to make a good pre-workout snack. Or a small banana.

A healthy diet has room for any food. Not *much* room, maybe. ;-) I eat lots of veggies, get my protein, and leave room for good chocolate. Good luck!

Notice that scrawny there -- the model in the sequined shorts -- has a gap between her thighs only because her feet are shoulder-width apart? That's true for a lot of women. When you could count my ribs thru my T-shirt, I didn't have one, either. Sorry, but that's anatomy.

If you go to the Goal page, you can customize the settings. I did, to make them more in line with the recommendations of my doctors and nutritionist.

Vegetables. Protein. Enough healthy fats. Sweet potatoes are good. Eat lots of "super foods" and you at least can minimize your nutritional deficiencies.

It's the Grecian formula for athletic success!

It's great when someone appreciates thue effort. :-D

Um, OK guys, but maybe you should get a room!

I have a friend who talks them into toppings only - whipped cream and strawberries or pineapple! Sorbets are generally fairly innocent. Or just get one scoop of your favorite -- you'll be OK.

Yes. I have a friend who is an amputee and a dialysis patient, both because of diabetes that he and his doctors undertreated because he was so skinny. (Past tense.)

Oh, when did you get access to her full medical record? I don't know how or why she became ill, but I do know that I was very fit until I became disabled -- and I know dozens of other people for whom that also is true.

If 1800 is working for you, stick with it! The MFP calculator, like Weight Watchers points, is just a guide. Neither one will work perfectly for everyone. Welcome!

If you felt the need to lie about your intake, couldn't you please just adjust your portion size instead???

Dear recipe sharers: Instead of adding your recipe to the database as a food, perhaps you might consider adding it to the shared Recipe database as a recipe??? Thanks!

If you search for paleo recipes, those should work for you.

Since you're diabetic, you might want to ditch the chips and fries (amazingly bad for blood sugar) and keep the chocolate and cheesecake. :-) And Klondike has a lower-carb ice cream bar out ... Treats are fine -- necessary, even -- especially if you want to keep going. There's an article I ran across recently on losing…

> I was under the impression BMI and Body > Fat Percentage were different things? Very. BMI is just a height-weight chart with a fancier name.

Your attitude is a bit worrying, and your diet is kind of scary -- not just the low calorie count, but also the low nutritional value of the calories you're eating. ( Humans cannot live well on bread and bananas alone. ;-) Maybe you could try eating some protein at breakfast, instead of bread and butter and Marmite. What…

That's appalling. Some good links left in comments to far better info than the school is using. Bury the school board in data about a) actual healthy weights and b) eating disorders, that's my suggestion. She's a beautiful, healthy child.

LadySlippers's description is excellent. Just remember to tighten your abdominal musclrs and keep them firm, to stabilized the body and protect the back.

Sorry, but ... There may not be any way to word things so he doesn't think that, because he may be aware that he is *being* a pretty terrible husband and father. I know he's still your sweetheart, but he's not handling the rest of the job. Speaking of jobs, is there anything you could to to bring in a little money -- for…

This site had some neat ideas for improving glucose readings at different times of day: http://www.diabetes-blood-sugar-solutions.com/normal-range-blood-sugar-levels.html (I am aiming for lower levels than this site suggests -- though not as low as your midnight numbers! -- as recent research seems to indicate that…

I found a neat post a while back about losing weight with metabolic issues -- it's linked from the end of my profile now, so I can't lose it again. Might be worth reading / sharing with your doctor. (And this site -- http://www.phlaunt.com/diabetes/14045524.php -- has some good ideas for figuring out how particular foods…

Maybe if you divided the carbs over four meals instead of three, so about 33 g per meal?? What kind of carbs are you eating? that can make a huge difference.
