I have thyroid problems and thyroid has a HUGE effect on your weight, its actually how they found out mine was hypo. I think that you need to find a different endo because that is a basic side effect that any doctor would be aware of.

switch out the bars you are used to having for either quest bars or atkins ones. They have max 3g of sugars in them. If at 27 you don't know how to dress yourself and what is appropriate then that is a problem. Many swim suit companies make very cute cover ups and slip on dresses so that you can be appropriate once you leave the beach or pool or so on.
