  • Can you do things with the kids? Walking or biking around the neighborhood or on local trails? Take the kids to the park and walk or jog around the playground while they play. My family bikes a lot on a local rail trail. It's not the same, but it's movement and it encourages them to be active as well.
  • You are not a computer. You don't need resetting. From the Whole30 site. Is there any research backing any of this up? Are they arguing that a significant number of people have food allergies they don't know about? Or are they saying that grains, legumes and dairy are inherently unhealthy? If you like eating the way the…

  • Also, if you love cake, have you seen Cake Wrecks? It's a blog of professionally made cake that are unintentionally funny.

  • Honey Sriancha Pork Stir Fry is on tonight's menu. Yum!
  • My current favorite is this Panache underwire. Best sports bra I've ever owned.
  • I use the Torani sugar free sryup too. Ohh, off to search Amazon now.
  • I love all potatoes! Yummy, filling, cheap and nutritious.
  • It's Taco Tuesday so we're having grilled buffalo chicken tacos and grilled shrimp tacos with sweet corn relish and guacamole. Last night was grilled salmon on top of copy cat Chipotle bowls (cilantro lime rice, pinto beans, pico de gallo, guac and corn relish)
  • I find my bras start to chafe when they get too big. I don't run, but I imagine the high impact would make it worse. If you've lost weight, you may need a smaller band size. I've lost 42lbs. I started in a 40 band and I'm currently in 38s, but they're starting to rub a bit so I need to go down to a 36 band soon.
  • My most frequent breakfast.
  • How many calories do you want to spend? That will give us a starting place.
  • My husband just listened to a pod cast with this guy as a guest (Ash Thorp's The Collective) and was telling me about his Chipotle streak.
  • Calorie wise, don't know the menu well enough to make specific recommendations. Look for something grilled with little or no sauce with veggies as a side. Ignoring calories, try the banana pudding for dessert. Yum!

  • There's nothing wrong with working out at 9 or 10 in the evening if it fits into your life best. My husband has an odd schedule and frequently goes to the gym at midnight.
  • I'm jealous. I love the idea of farmers markets. I pass a weekly one on the way home from my daughter's gymnastics class and usually stop in and buy a few things, but it's so much more expensive I can't afford to do any real shopping there. As an example, romaine lettuce is $.99 at the grocery store and $3 at the farmers…
  • Map my walk my be using elevation as a variable. So a hilly walk would burn more calories than a flat one. Either way, beware of taking exercise burns from either source at face value. General wisdom is that they are pretty big overestimations. Most suggest only eating 50-75% of exercise calories back to compensate.
  • Op, I like the idea of asking your husband to switch to buying single serving packages of his stuff. I'm much more likely to grab "just a couple" chips from a big open bag than I am to open a new single serving package. +1 My husband loves to eat out too. What has worked for me is to find meals at several places we like…
  • Give yourself a break. You grew an entire person in your body then had major abdominal surgery. It's only been 6 weeks. That's less than 2 months. You know how to lose weight. It will happen. Keep on keeping on. But be gentle with yourself. Give your body time to recover.
  • Cocoa powder and mustard are very low calorie. Is that what you're asking?
  • Budget Bytes has great easy, inexpensive, recipes. Black bean quesadillas, Chipotle Orange Pork Tacos, and Honey Sriancha Chicken Thighs are all favorites here. Lots of her recipes are big enough to freeze some for later. So cooking once gets you several meals. And the crock pot bean recipe linked in the quesadilla recipe…
  • Amazon is your friend for bras. Put a bunch on a wish list and wait for the price to drop. I got a panache and a Freya that I love for between $20-$30. I'm an F cup so I know the struggle to find a good bra. My favorite everyday bra is from elomi and I hear good things about their sports bras too. Oh and I always go for…
  • I'm not a big fan of any of these raw. Roasting is really great for all of them though.
  • Around the neighborhood on the roads, no. People drive like idiots in our neighborhood. On the biking/jogging trail right side ear bud in, volume low-ish if I'm alone or with just my husband.
  • Last night was grilled salmon, roasted asparagus, and baked sweet potato. Tonight I'm thinking tacos, buffalo chicken and grilled shrimp.
  • Pretty much that. I have underwire sports bras from Panache and Freya and really like them. I think both both of those companies use UK sizing. Herroom.com has a great universal bra size thing that will help you figure out what size to get. I hate compression bras and refuse to buy them so I suggest you look for bras that…
  • Podcasts are another great option. There are lots of them available for free online. I have an app on my phone called podcast addict that I listen to them through. I like Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. I just started listening to Anderw Zimmern's (the Bizzare Foods guy) Go Fork Yourself and Alton Brown's Browncast.
  • I did not finish the leftover half of my daughter's waffle after she was done, even though it sounded really really good. I had already eaten my breakfast and I've been going over my calorie goal too often lately with unplanned snacks like that.
  • For the walking and biking maybe look for more interesting places to go. It'll give you some variety and maybe get away from the *ssholes shouting out of car windows. Nature trails in state or national parks can be very pretty walks. Rail trails are great for walking and biking.
