No, pull out the clicker.

I don't believe in rewarding with food. We play hard with our boxer, and since she was a puppy we play the same way animals do, and as soon as we give command, she's on her back or giving kisses (depending on the command given). We have never used the clicker approach, that to me is ridiculous, and we don't reward with…

You are absolutely right. The dog should be submissive to the owner. We have a small breed dog and a boxer/old english bulldog cross, the boxer is very protective of our little guy and will let other dogs know it, however she is 100% submissive to us. We have been in dog parks as well, and had other bigger dogs go after…

LadyElby- Seemed fitting since I hit half way. when I started out it said "I can, and I will.... Watch me! " loved it.

But it also isn't real life. I could lose 7 lbs a week too if I could dedicate the number of hours they have in a day since they aren't working, or taking care of kids, or house, or yard... All the daily stuff isn't there to interfere. And in the long run they will have to make another adjustment when they return to…

Perhaps they could make natural and healthy foods cheaper than the sugar and chemically based crap. It can be a side effect of other diseases and disorders, but as a whole laziness is not a disease. IMO

Yup, feel free to add me, I was the same for MANY years, this time I have made the LIFESTYLE change not just diet.

My go to is always a 3 egg omlette with veggies and cheese, depending on what ya put in it can range from 350-500 cals and is filling and full of protein

Now that I am out of the smaller clothing I had stored away, I have had to purchase new stuff. Not a lot, but enough to get my through until the next drop. Definitely go cheaper (Walmart, Target etc). I have also done a lot of sales rack shopping. The things for summer are now on the sales racks, so was able to pick up a…

Just read an article the other day about a guy that is 91 and still pressing 147lbs. He only started lifting in his 60's after he retired... Awesome stuff.

Great motivator for sure, keep playing that conversation in your head whenever you lose sight of the end goal... LOL

I'm at 240 today. I have some long runners on my list as well.

I am not looking forward to having to shop for jeans in 'regular' size stores. My daughter though has the same issues, she has massive thighs (due to being super athletic and years of highland dance) and has trouble as well. We have found that the Levi's jeans and some of the Silver cuts work best for her.

Watching both of my parents go through medical issues late in their lives that could all have been prevented. I don't want to put that on my kids, or not be able to enjoy the later stages of my life because of health issues that don't need to happen.

16 years later it's still Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden (was our wedding song)

Lol, my friends have all stopped talking to me.... Apparently the drinking and partying was all we had in common, now I won't go out Friday nights cause I go to the gym every Saturday morning, and suddenly I'm not good enough anymore.... Oh well.... LOL
-
but you are also lifting... which is the point!
-
Totally agree. Have seen both sides, and the one's that include more than just cardio are showing much better results and much faster.
-
good job... sometimes getting hung up on the numbers is more detrimental to your success than anything else.

we don't have commercials in Canada for cigarettes.... so by that it is all good! lol

Pretty much... tends to be how I look at most food...

It's all about how you want to fuel your body and what your end goal is. If you are losing weight, once in a while isn't bad. If you are on a lifting plan, then yeah it's crap cause it isn't really giving you anything worth using in your body. Just the way I look at it anyway.
-
I wish... lost 60lbs so far and I bet 10 of it was from the chest. well at least 4"was. Now they are deflated...
-
Also though if all you do is run, your body becomes more efficient at reserving energy. You need to contantly be upping intensity or the distance in order to continue losing, if you are running the same intensity and same distance all the time, you are going to plateau at your loss

I have been using the Renee's salad dressings (in the cooler usually by the pre bagged salads). They use more natural stuff and don't have preservatives. I have really liked most of the ones I have tried. They are not low cal but at least they are real and not all chemicals. If you want low cal you're gonna have to switch…

You need to discover your "why". Why do you want to do it... once you find the "why" the rest comes easier. Set an example for your daughter, pretty soon she's gonna be running around and you're gonna wanna keep up. Use that beautiful baby girl as your inpiration and motivation. She is so worth it, and so are you! Good…
