Start on your knees, I still do them off my knees when I'm on the floor, but I also do pushups on the weightbench as well, different angles and different gravitational pull (I have a lot of weight on my bottom half) it's all about progression, do as many as you can then drop to your knees, next time push for one more…

Sodium will do it. I found that this past week too, I ate out on Friday night and what should have been down a few pounds Saturday morning for my weigh in, ended up being a 1 lb gain.

Allmax Isoflex Whey Protein the chocolate one has mini choc chips in it, and is 27g of protein per 30g scoop! LOVE IT. I can get it in Canada for around 47.00 for 2lb container Edited~ AND only 110 calories per scoop when mixed with water.

I was just having this conversation with my husband the other day, I seem to be losing a lot off my chest, his response was thay he'd buy me new ones! LOL

WOW that is amazing, you look fantastic, and I bet feel even better than you look.

I am VERY well versed in depression as I have suffered from severe depression for most of my adult life. It is true that there are psychological interventions that help, however the indication that all you have to do is accept reality is bs. My reality is a fantastic life with no merit for being depressed, sometimes the…

No generally that is feeling sorry for yourself. Depression is generally a chemical imbalance in the brain that can be brought on by stressors, or traumatic events. It is not a matter of accepting reality! And your view on the cure for depression is just as skewed!

Hmmm, I was frustrated too when I was doing the same things as my hubby to lose weight and he was successful and I wasn't. It took me hiring a personal trainer for ME, that is when I started to notice changes. Unfortunatly if she is not motivated your efforts are invane as she will gain it all back after anyways because…

Depends on how intense the workout was. I quite often burn 1000 -1400 in a 60 min circuit session if I don't stop moving and keep my heartrate up

I don't have a cheat day, if I'm craving something I have a little bit of it and log what I eat, I find that now that my body is detoxed from sugary crap I don't crave it nearly as much. When I want a chocolate bar, I have a protein bar instead (found some at Costco that are supper awesome and not chalky). I don't think…

Awesome job!

That's awesome, your start weight and current are close to my start and goals. So this is very inspirational! That's one of the things I have been concerned about.

Certain Oils do have health benefits, however overnight is a bit of a push to think it worked that fast. If that's all it was, then I would chug the bottle tonight to be down by tomorrow. Congrats on the scale moving though, and long term it will have positive health benefits. However, overnight was most likely water…

If I want most things I go with full fat, just better calorie choices. The only execption is I use 1%milk. I would get a second opinion though, something doesn't sound right.

The early years were easy, it's the TEEN years that are difficult.

This kind of lines up with the 'obey your husband' which I had removed from my vows. I'm not gonna respect someone 'whether I want to or not' my respect is earned not a given. Sorry, I have my faith, but my kids come 1st. I love my husband and he loves me. We have an amazing relationship and after 18 years still love…

when hubby and I work out together we get super competative and it pushes us both to push ourselves harder.... I think it's a great motivator. Now he works out at the gym while I'm with my trainer.
-
Lol! I hear ya. When my teens want a ride somewhere, their first question has become "are you going to the gym tonight?"

27 lbs in 97 days. It also depends for you what your start weight is. For someone who has a lot to lose you will usually see larger numbers. 5 lbs in your first month is really good though. Keep it up. If you wanna see more then put in a little more effort and you will be rewarded for it. Just my suggestion.

Well the fact is this, I have been married for 16 years, and my husband is the father of my children, and here's the kicker, my kids are also number 1 in my life. If it came down to my children or my husband both needing me, my kids would win every time, and I would expect my hubby to do the same. We are adults who can…

eat your calories for the day, make a healthy choice for supper, and start over tomorrow. One day is not the end of the world.

Holy **** DUDE! that is AWESOME

I haven't given anything up... just moderation and look for better calorie choices. Beer is the big thing for me. Not because of the alcohol, but I enjoy the taste. The molson 67 seems to be acceptable for the time being. :drinker:

I would buy the Elliptical. I hated if at first but now have a love hate relationship. I hate using it for the most part, but love what it is doing for me!
-
The HRM. It is monitoring you the entire time and telling you how hard your working, the treadmill is just estimating averages 2 ppl at the same height and weight doesn't account for how physically fit one is against the other.
-
Spot on! lol, I have friends who are shocked when they see my calories burned from my HRM readout. They can't believe that I can burn 1000-1300 calories in an hour... well, I don't stop moving for that hour, other than to grab some water and move to the next circuit. Some people need a reality check, you don't make changes…

First off, Is that 5lbs a week average? If you are losing that much every week then you NEED to up your calories, anything over 1-2 lbs per week is muscle tissue your losing. I am at the 1390 mark right now and work out HARD 3 times a week and only lose average 2 lbs a week and gaining muscle. And no I don't ever eat back…

Female 34 5'7 285 (26.7 lbs lost in 97 days) 165 3 months to reach 259 started at 1450, now at 1390 I never eat back my exercise calories, no I'm not hungry and am not depriving myself. I have high protein foods to help fuel the muscle which I am building through heavy lifting.
