  • I sent you a request & believe my diary is viewable to the public. My goal is not to lose weight, but to lose some fat off the butt & thighs & tone up all around. Feel free to add me if you'd like.
  • I am a HUGE craving eater. Since becoming vegan & eliminating processed foods, I've become much more mindful of what's actually going into my body (probably because cooking those same treats at home allows you to really see how much sugar, oil, etc is going into each one). I now only cook recipes with 1/4 c. or less (&…
  • @ Maryann: I am a quitter by nature, and I've found that I have been doing really good with this since forcing myself to do it first thing out of bed. That way I know the rest of the day is mine, and I can go through it feeling great that I've stuck to my goal. Much better than going through the day hearing those little…
  • I think I would go to have it resized, and each time you do, ask if they can put a small engraving mark on the inside as a symbol of your accomplishment. <3
  • Thanks for the reminder. I've been reminding myself all day that if it was easy, I'd be gaining very little from it. It's helped me to change my frame of mind when pushing through the hard parts.
  • @ Wizbeth: That point of view actually makes me feel a bit better. I'll also have to remind myself that others are struggling through it as well, and it doesn't seem to be a cakewalk for most, so perhaps that frame of mind will keep me from feeling like the only failure of the group for the first few days. I, like you, do…
  • Day 9, level 1... check. I read some comments today on another thread that level 2 was something to be afraid of. Moment of truth is just around the corner. :p
  • Oh wow you guys... I only have one more day of level 1... and I now officially have *the fear*. I was feeling optimistic for a bit when I saw a few comments a few days back saying level two wasn't as bad as they were expecting... but after todays comments, I'm afraid to hit play. :p Day 9 level 1 down... I'll be right…
  • You did an amazing job & I'm sure it wasn't easy. I'm so glad your hard work paid off for you!
  • Welcome Joreanasaurou. Glad to see that there are a few others with an interest in the Richard Simmons workouts. Two more days until the November Challenge officially begins, and again, anyone who would like to can feel free to start early. There's really no set schedule, just hoping to enjoy these with a group of…
  • Just get your hands on the dvd & a set of hand weights & join in. ;) You can try checking your local library as well. That's how I discovered this routine & I liked it enough to buy it on Amazon, along with 2 other Jillian Michaels workouts. I'm only on level 1 currently, but the focus is on circuit training and each…
  • Thanks for the input everyone.
  • @ HiJude57: CydtheSquid has 4, I'll ask her which she prefers best. Is there a style that you prefer, so perhaps she can see which is the best fit for you?
  • Since I'm beginning & have a bit of loose/jiggly fat around my thighs & butt, I figured the above mentioned routine might help to get rid of that first. I was told if I built up muscle without burning off the bit of fat, I would simply have muscle underneath a still present layer of fat. Is that not the case? (sorry if…
  • Great to have another one on board. Makes me feel a little less silly for enjoying it. :p Sent you an add as well. My food diary & exercise diary should be viewable to the public as well if it helps any. I'm still in the beginning stages of making sure I get all my protein, calcium & iron each day so I've been pretty…
  • I adore that family photo. What a great journey you've begun, with absolutely amazing results.
  • Holy cow... you've worked your butt off! Amazing, amazing results. <3
  • I'm excited to see some interest! I just did my first routine last night, and while I thought I'd just do half of it I ended up doing the whole thing. I feel like quite a fool & have no idea what I'm doing half the time, but I have to admit I did enjoy it. There really is something quite endearing about that little man,…
  • Day 8 level 1 down. ;)
  • I did level 1, day 8 today. Today was a bit rougher than I was expecting, but I've also been doing the Butt Bible for 4 days now, a 2.5 mile walk & just added in Richard Simmons Sweating to the Oldies last night. I also decided to do butt lifts & chest flies through all the commercials while watching 666 Park Ave. last…
  • @ Chloejaneg: I think I can feel it some. I'm also doing the 2.5 mile walk so I feel a lot of that as well, along with the 30 Day Shred. Together... I can definitely feel my legs turning to rubber, but I have to admit, it's becoming really addicting. For the Butt Bible, my hard parts are the fully extended leg lifts & the…
  • We've got a Richard Simmons November Challenge for anyone who wants to participate. I started a few days early to see what I thought of it, and it was actually pretty fun & a nice break from the more serious routines I'm trying to tackle. Feel free to join us if you'd like. :)…
  • Ok, so I started a few days early. Day 1 of Sweating w/ the Oldies complete. Did the entire routine, though I was prancing around like a confused fool during a lot of it. Very glad no one was watching. I did work up a bit of a sweat though, which surprised me. I'm currently on day 7 of my exercise routine, as follows: -…
  • Just sampled Sweatin to the Oldies & I actually think it's pretty fun. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing yet, but I think it will be a blast once I learn the routines.
  • Wow... & somehow I had always hoped our world seemed a little kinder once we left high school behind. Sadly... some people never grow out of being an a**hole. I'm so very, very sorry that you have to endure this. Nobody should be treated in that manner, especially when you are doing something to better yourself & are…
  • Absolutely amazing!
  • Day 7 of level 1 complete. I'm also on day 3 of Butt Bible level 1, and doing a 2.5 mile walk uphill/downhill each day. Definitely feeling like I have more endurance for this now, even though I still curse my way through a couple of parts. I think it helps tremendously to get through the first few days & finally realized…

  • Welcome! I joined this site not to try and lose weight but to try and get tone & definition back, as I want the body I had in my early twenties back. I too have trouble sticking to things without motivation. I started a routine of 30 Day Shred last week, and Butt Bible two days ago, along with a 2.5 mile walk each day,…
