  • I have been experiencing the bloat again! I just started my 5th week into reset and noticed towards the end of week 4 I was feeling all bloated again and my clothes even tighter :grumble: In the beginning it was easier to handle because I thought that was the initiation and it would be over and I move on. I didn't realize…
  • @iluvhorses...I just started my 5th week into reset and have the same experience! I haven't weighed since I started EM2WL. I did cut for the 1st 3 weeks then learned about the reset. I knew I had gained but all in all it wasn't terribly noticeable and my clothes all fit, just a tad tighter. But last week (week 4) I noticed…
  • Oh that is such great news! 3 inches around the waist is huge!
  • I think in another post I seen you mention a 7 mile race at the end of July and since most races are 5K or 3K, not by miles, it caught my attention! I have lived in Davenport my whole life although this year my Husband and I are are researching areas to move to. We have always wanted to and its looking more and more like…
  • I just wanted to chime in and also suggest http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/3834-eat-more-to-weigh-less. Tons of stickies and videos to answer your questions plus a group of very helpful encouraging people!
  • If you are breastfeeding, eating too low will definitely backfire on you....I KNOW! Plus whats great is you don't even have to eat that low to lose fat! Take a look at these stickies and maybe this way will be a better fit for you: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/3834-eat-more-to-weigh-less
  • Usually around here if your weight loss slows or stops, its probably from not eating enough. Especially since you added some extra cardio. You could also benefit from a 2 week break at TDEE as Sweatpants suggested and then try a 10% cut.
  • I tend to over think things too which always gets me into trouble! I came into EM2WL with an open mind and let it fill me with what to do and I just do it! My over thinking didn't help me in the past so I am just definitely trying this in a whole new way! Some days those thoughts try to creep in but I come here, read…
  • I think a reset is always a great idea. You would hate to jump in at cut (like I did) then go through all the bloat and then not see results then have to do a reset anyway and start over. I feel like the reset is not just great for your body, but it has helped me get my mind in a better place. it definitely has its hard…
  • Continue to eat at TDEE. I had quite a few days in a row where I ate WAY over TDEE, probably 5 days and I do think that caught up with me but one day won't. One of the most important things is to stay consistent so eating at least TDEE or even a tad over is the goal. I don't weigh or even have the courage to measure during…
  • What race are you running the end of July? I live in the Quad Cities and I am running the Bix7 the end of July. If you are running a lot now I have seen it said you should wait to start weight training. I believe the idea is the cardio will trump building muscle. I am not worried about my run time anymore, I run/walk it…
  • I just finished up week 4 so I am halfway through reset, yeah! Having a feeling heavy day so its making me excited for cut even more! I just wish I didn't have to weigh myself before I cut.... I am min such a good place most days that I know I will see that number on the scale a feel a pang in the heart....but I know I…
  • Since you are so close to goal, its best to have a small deficit. You would probably want to look at a 5-10%.
  • I like Gevalia but I can buy it in the stores locally. I like Green Mountain and a Company called Door County. Door County has a flavor called Chocolate Cookie Dough that I love!
  • That makes sense not to lower it all all since its such a short period of time. Thanks!
  • I can't imagine taking a full week of absolutely no exercise. Thanks!
  • Probably my foot, I tend to put it in my mouth from time to time.
  • lol, I asked the same question today! That seems to be the answer I got too, just keeping the same calorie level I have now.

  • I eat whatever I want. Luckily I love healthy foods but eating healthy never made me thin. Just kept me healthy! I kept getting more and more strict with eating clean and maybe have one bite of ice cream and was still heavier than all my Doritos and beer consuming friends. Health is always my first concern but I loosen up…
  • @Raynn1......What scares me into not doing a cut earlier than 8 weeks is the thought of me in a month struggling and thinking< what if I had done the full 8 weeks as strongly encouraged? Then will I want to start over and do another reset for the correct 8 weeks? I hear ya, its so hard some days. I am not losing either on…
  • I hardly ever buy fast food for them. I don't eat it unless I have to (on a road trip) or I might do more of a Qdoba or Noodles more than a drive thru. My husband is a fast food addict so he will buy it for them if he has them and I won't be there to make them lunch/dinner. I don't love that he does that but at the same…
  • Thats sort of the attitude I have towards doing the reset during summer. I don't have to really stress about summer clothes. I can still fit into most and I have bought a few dresses, but since I know there will be no weight loss, I am just more relaxed and accepting! I have been in a swim suit, though. I have young kids…
  • I am big into dirty martinis and wine, especially sangria! Many sangrias come in around 100-150cals per drink. I used to be big into Jack and diet or Jack and water but I just haven't been able to get the taste for it anymore. I am trying to get back into beer. I don't drink much anymore but when we do go out, some of the…
  • Oh awesome! I hope 1 and 2 happen to me! I am not real pale but have always had dark circles and always bruise easy!
  • I am in my 24th day of reset! Things are still good. Last week I ate over TDEE quite a bit for almost the whole week and the last few days have noticed a thicker waist and hips :grumble: SO I was having some hard days with that. I am hoping that if I stay strict to TDEE that I might lose what I gained since it wasn't…
  • I lift 3x/wk I do HIIT (run/walk outside) for an hr or so 3 days a week, occasionally 4 while pushing an almost 3yr old in a stroller. On the days I lift or what is suppose to be my rest day I go for an easy walk with my oldest daughter since I don't let her come with me when I run. I can get pretty busy during the day…
  • Whatthef**kshouldImakefordinner.com Its just plain fun
  • Sure, I love to eat so I have no problem having more friends who eat more!
  • Well if you find a protein powder that doesn't use artificial sweeteners, let me know! I use Bob's since it has none, that Dr Mercola uses Stevia which I try to never eat. Someone posted about Any Whey by Optimum Nutrition and said they really liked it. The problem is the grams of protein in these powders are so much…
  • You could try this to see if its similar to what you buy. This is one of Chocolatecoveredkatie.com's many fab recipes. I add protein powder to all her milkshakes. I use plain but I am sure vanilla or even chocolate powder would work. Sugar Cookie Milkshake (serves 1) 2/3 cup milk of choice (try canned coconut milk for an…
